07:55:45 CommanderCaedras was recovering quickly. The Federation ships had arrived quickly, bringing supplies and Allies to assist in rebuilding and defending. Most importantly IngenTech had sent specialists to assist in the mending of Caedras' broken body. The evaluations and tests had been done and pre-op had been taken care of before they would spend the hours replacing parts mechanical and biological to repair the damage he'd taken. He was still in the medical plaza but ina shape to walk. One eye still had the Light from the implanted HUD dancing across it while the other remained offline. His left forearm ended a few inches below the wrist in a flat metal plate with an empty socket. His limp was not as pronounced, what with the assistant mechanical brace that doubled as an exo-skeleton to allow him mobility without strain. Otherwise, he seemed much the same; save for the hospital gown and trousers he wore. He stood by the window, observing the city as it moved and continued on, ships leaving and arriving from the Sky above.
08:16:12 Yura where was Yura and what was she doing? Well, she was in the medical plaza, helping with the cybernetic implants and such things as these. It hadn't taken her very long to get a decent grasp of the core version of the laguage... essentially what you would learn up to middleschool, she wasn't good at knowing any of the super fancy words that occasially people spoke, but she could hold a simple enough conversation. Why was she here in the medical plaza? Simple... she was an expert at cybernetic implants, as well as psycology of patents going through these replacements. It was better usually to hear it from someone who knows how it feels to not have their own limb anymore. Calmly she worked away, assisting where she could. Normally she wore synthflesh to not attract attention, but when here, some of the patients needed emotional support, and seeing someone as fucked up as her, either tells them in their mind, that they could have had it much worse. She wore a sleeveless white gown, more like a lab coat than anything. When she saw someone limping around the plaza, curious to see the other patients she hasn't seen before, then she saw a limping male, to which she got curious, and meandered on over. Seeing his condition, he saw his hand, but when one of her eyes changed, to examine the internal extent of the damage, she saw that it was worse than just a hand... so over she meandered, "How're you feeling with those eyes?"
08:21:28 CommanderCaedras glanced over towards Yura, noting the coat and her manner. The man was short, compared the the Caledonian's, a few inches over five and a half feet tall at most. His gaze locked into Yura's and he offered a small nod. "Well enough. They've been calibrated properly to compensate for the loss of the other. It's a small thing. Just odd to see the world so...open. Unobstructed." He regarded her own enhancements and implants with an evaluator gaze, perhaps even a little curious. "Can I be of assistance?" He asked, as though being in the medical plaza were no hindrance to duty.
08:28:49 Yura shrugs gently to the slightly taller male, "I'm just here as the resident expert on cybernetics and patents suffering 'LoL' syndrome... loss of limb. Some people become very detatched and depressed when they have to get a replacement limb to go on with their normal lives or jobs... some people don't like relying on such things. It's actually slightly common in the nordic peoples from what i've seen on occasion. Relying so strongly on their own bodies, hard work and such... expecially those native to here. That's probably why they made us an uplifted race... Our cybernetics arn't tools or attachments for lost limbs... They're full blown replacements. We've found ways to program the limb to detect the muscle mass, reactions, and other such things in the host body, to replicate the lost limb almost perfectly. Synthetic flesh with proper texture and skin color... once the replacement happens, the artificial limb makes it feel that there was no loss until it needs matience from beieng strained too hard. but then there are the military enhancements, which are just that... they arn't just replacements, but enhancements as well. The difference in feeling from one to the other is drastic to say the least." She sat down calmly on a bench, looking at him, contemplating as she scanned his form again, but eyes lingering on his hand that wasn't there...
08:34:30 [CommanderCaedras] Yura would detect a fair number of those military grade enhancements already within him; and they weren't knew. The make and model was decidedly not Nordic in any shape or form and the few bits of technology that were already a part of him stood out sharply. Caedras smiled, however small and polite it was. "A difficulty, certainly, but one that can be mended. The Federation is not as averse to such technologies ourselves. We thrive on them. Enhance ourselves to the peek of potential and expertise. Though I've not seen makes and models such as yours before. I am not an expert in such matters, but the differences are most fascinating," he responded, eyeing Yura's own cybernetics as he sat alongisde her.
08:40:55 Yura looks at her own arms for a bit and soon chuckles lightly, smiling a little... those sharp teeth shown slightly. "These are my miliatary grade arms... I have normal ones back in my bunk... The reason why mine look so differen is... probably because in normal cybernetics y ou need a power source... for me, I am the power source... my race, while not having the innate ability to preform spells well, we have a large pool of magic within our own bodies... lately we've been using it more of for fule or other purposes other than magic... there are spell weavers amongst my race yes... but they require years and years of training... fortunately it's something we have, Time." She sighs a little, and shrugs, she saw that he wasn't compensating for any depressed mood that she could tell very well.
08:45:59 CommanderCaedras nodded, understanding now. "A much less stingy cybernetics based replacement with magical enhancements and power? No small wonder you do not find much of these here. For all their vaunted technology, the Caledonian's rely too much on sorcery and archaic tools. They marry the two, certainly, but rely more on their magicks. An interesting manner to utilize those with your race, I have to admit. The Federation, however, has never had use or the proficiency with such things. Though we do not deny their useto others or its existence," he explained. He stretched a bit, looking more bothered with being kept here than the loss of his limb. He itched to do so.ething. anything but wait.
08:58:00 Yura nods slowly, and again shrugs, "Everyone has their own way of doing things... to be honest from what I can tell from most histories of planets... an empire doesn't usually get the most advanced tech from their own people... normally they get it from their 'city-states' or in this case 'planet'. I havn't read very deeply into the Caledonian history, but i'm assuming that's how it happened more or less... because from what I see on the ground here... if left to their own devices, they probably wouldn't have even left the mechanical age with how steeped in tradition they are... but I guess that's subject to change eventually, and now they are the super power in this part of the galixy... go figure." She was still wrapping her head around the whole thing of 'how it happened' She didn't question the why it happened... she knew why from just seeing their home planet... they expanded out of nessessity.
09:01:28 [Ria] After the strange meeting with Aavis and Yura the day previous, Ria had finished putting together her toy soldier's skeleton, then turned to her new toys. She wasn't entirely sure what she was supposed to do about the gun. Ria didn't work with even the Caledon weaponry unless she had to, which was only when it was attached to a ship; meaning she'd be sending the woman to one of the weapons specialists, or else advising her to trade it in for a Caledonian weapon. The light saber on the other hand.... that was a neat new piece of tech she really wanted to play with. However, she wanted Aavis to be there when she disassembled it, because the crimson haired engineer hadn't the faintest idea how or where to start with the damned thing, and her traditional way of taking things apart when she couldn't figure them out would probably lead to the woman trying to strangle her to death, because simply pulling everything apart with her mind was likely to break some important piece that she couldn't replace.
09:03:47 [CommanderCaedras] "I've read somewhat I to their histories but, regardless of whatever power rules, the wheel turns. Empires rise and fall. All we can do is make our stand against the inevitable and make it costly," he said. It wasn't as much room and gloom as much as it sounded like Pride, when he spoke. "No doubt the Caledonian's will find Federation technology interesting, should they move beyond their aversions. Though I believe the co.petitive market will unify Federation Corporations to excel. Most useful to us, I believe." Caedras looked out the window once more.
09:11:04 Aavis-Jiun It had been a very short night for Aavis, rather then meditating soundly to restore herself, she abused the sleep privilege. She found a tree, and a rock, and was content in awkwardly sprawling on them for roughly thirteen hours. Content in that she had found the Ria, and the Ria was interested in the saber. Good news. Little less stress. She'd wake to a guard's boot tapping her in the hip. Quick inhalation of air, she'd sit up quickly, pulling hair out of her mouth. " Uhn? " A pause, eyes open wide, then half lidded. " I mean what? " As usual, there was a guard tailing her around. That princess had ordered a escort, so there was typically one somewhere nearby. He'd give a look like. -I don't have all freakin day to watch you drool- To which she would stand up quickly. " Hnnnnnn" And.. Thooom! A weird push in all directions, had her hair, clothes, and all the like pulled strongly away from her body. Was that an abuse of force repulse? Yup. Just getting fresh air to the skin, straightening out the hair adjustin robes.. Almost pushing a quite alarmed guard over. Fortunately, not strong with distance. From there, she started right on to marching across the grounds in a hurry, she had a person to see. Ria would find her soon enough, striding boldly up to face to face encounter. " You ready today? "
09:39:33 [Kisharra] << New place, new people and definately new fun. As the crowd from the civilian ship emerged planetside; hidden within the crowd was everyone's favourite, psycopathic kitty cat, dressed inconspicuously for the moment; though from the looks of it, she had a few issues with the dress she was wearing.. A: Too tight - B: Her tail was concealed, and that would likely cause her to trip over - C: Ugh clothing... Still, as she passed through whatever security checks were needed - by avoiding getting checked; the feline finally emerged in a place that she could only describe as... " Seriously? " She stared at what she saw and looked severely depressed already... Well; she would certainly change that wouldn't she. Finding an alleyway in which to completely remove the clothing she'd come to the planet in; Kisharra stretched herself accordingly; while perching upon the roof of a building " <Meow> Mmm... What can I do today " She voiced to herself while thinking of the numerous possibilities open to her... Murder? Stealing? oh? Maybe she could... Oh that was just too devious... " Ehehehehe.... Ooo bad kitty I love it " She vocalized before lowering herself and laying upon the roof " That's just purrrfect " The malicious, playful smile that ran across her lips as she planned out her first act of ' indecent behavoir ' This. Was gonna be fun. >>
09:41:59 [Israh] Mammoths. Large, massive creatures that from time to time migrated the open lands outside the cities. Typically they steered clear from any real settlements or established human domains due to the dangers to their herd it presented but there was always the rare possibility that something could force them closer. In this case it was probably some other predator, but the job Israh had at this point in time was not to hunt down the predator that forced the migration change in the current herd. It was to do what was necessary to protect the nearby town that had placed the hunter job. Sadly, the job required a group of people due to the large amount of Mammoths in the heard, and when their heard is in danger they get ruthless. So the safest bet was to have a group of people working together. As it stood, there were about 12 men and one Israh standing amongst the tree lines all watching the heard through binoculars except Israh herself. She currently stood barefoot with her eyes closed and lowered. Bare feet pressed to the ground and boots laying nearby upon a rock. “Alright. They’re on their way to the location where we set the traps. Hopefully we can scare them off into another direction other than the village.” Stated the smallest of the men with them who actually worked to actively scout the people for this team. Another spoke up soon after, a larger Nordic man who was massively muscular and had scars over his right eye. His skin tone was baked though, showing he had worked outside most of his life possibly as a hunter. “I dunno why we just don’t take them down. The meats great and their hides go for a lot.” The larger man looked down towards the smaller man who shrugged. “Well, the jobs to get them away from the town. If it doesn’t work then we can try to take them down. It’s why I got most of you in fact.” The larger man then looked down towards Israh who was quietly standing on the ground far below them. “…and the girl? What’s she doing here? She’s newer to the business isn’t she?” The smaller man turned to look away from the binoculars and gave a knowing smile. “I take it you’ve never seen her at the Wards Pubs before. You should get out more…” The larger man quirked a brow shortly after, wondering just what the smaller man meant by that. His thoughts were ripped away though by Israh’s voice as it chimed in. A bit harsher sounding, almost direct but it did still have a heavy feminine tone in it. “Ten feet from the traps.” She stated and lifted her head up, eyes opening to look in the direction the Mammoths should have been at. Problem was her vision was blocked massively by a large tree line of vegetation. The two who were talking amongst each other both looked down to Israh before returning their sights to the mammoths through the binoculars. Not surprising, Israh was right on the dot with the distance she had stated.
09:44:16 Ria would look up from her now somewhat clean and organized workbench, where she'd been preparing a pen and notepad to draw and/or write stuff down on, when Aavis came up to her, her headphones hanging around her neck today, instead of covering her ear so that she didn't accidentally flip out and blow something up, or something when her guest arrived. “Yup ready as I can be.” she spoke while wearing her customary smile, which usually didn't help make people like her, because it was one of those smiles that said she was laughing at you. She wasn't actually laughing at anyone, but it kept most from getting too close, and prevented any unwanted touching. To the guard she smiled even more brightly “Go tell the princess I said hi. Aavis is fine alone with me...” she trailed off her smile becoming toothy. “promise. She's safer than you are.” there was sugary sweet acid in the last part of what she said, that often sent the guards the other direction. It wasn't that she didn't like them or anything. Actually she kinda liked some of them; the ones she'd met anyways. There was just something about having guard dogs tethered to people unnecessarily that just kinda agitated her. Besides, the poor man would die of boredom trapped with the two of them for hours on end while she worked and learned and discussed this new fun bit of tech called a light saber. Really.... with the right modifications they could replace some of the more archaic blades kept by her own people. Personally she found those blades beautiful, but whatever would give them an advantage in battle and keep her home safe was fine with her.
09:58:28 Aavis-Jiun She took a breath, and slipped down into a meditative position in front of the bench. Her main saber was drawn, just because this was not actually her saber, and held no sentimental value. " I'm open to answer any questions. I had to build my own saber as a test of patience. With no pre-made parts of screws. Even the power cell, and lenses. Everything. So... Lets begin with simple deconstruction. Also note, there is not a single part on this device that has ever met the touch of a tool outside their individual construction. " She'd take a break and raise her hands, the light saber lifted on its own, and begins to very rapidly but smoothly deconstruct itself, until every piece that could be taken apart, spread into a kind of orbit out in front of her. These pieces where assembled on the work bench in a orderly fashion, one could essentially draw a schematic around it. The time only took about two minutes. When she was done she stood, placed her palms at the edge of the bench. " Where do we start?"
10:00:42 [Kisharra] << Leaping down from the roof and landing in a very cat-like stance; Kisharra decided to prowl the streets; more than likely gaining odd looks from the people here, considering she's wearing no clothes except the fur she was born in " Mmm... The freedom without clothes " She muttered coyly; deciding to take routes not normally taken towards the biggest building here - surely that could provide some manner of etertainment; even if it was just mindless talking. Stifling a soft yawn; the feline continued to stalk the streets; hissing at people that pointed at her; baring teeth at others before, pouncey pounce she went; scaling that tall ol building before casually staring through the nearest window she could find " Ugh... Someone needs to redecorate... It's an EYE-HAZARD! " She whined; pressing a hand upon her face to shield her eyes from ugliness >>
10:06:56 Yura sighs a bit as she leaned a bit against the back of the bench the two of them were sitting on, and gave a simple nod, "Except back then, empires rose and fell in decades usually... at most a century or two. But now with the galactic scale of an empire... it goes from centuries to millenia... so I doubt this emire will fall unless something extremely drastic happens." Slowly she gave another shrug, before flicking her ear, looking back, before looking over at him again with a smile, "Is there something I can help you with in your stay and recovery?"
10:13:04 [CommanderCaedras] "Or it collapses under its own weight. A whole new challenge to rule on a galactic scale, and it could be that they may not be able to sustain it, but that falls into the realm of theory. Hardly matters at the moment. Though it bodes I'll if the Emperor is unable to aptly defend his capitol at the heart of his empire. His nose was bloodied in his home. It's almost shameful." Caedras didn't mince words, and not being Caledonian, he felt no particular blind loyalty. It was his opinion, of course, and not spoken with malice as much as considered a fact. "As for my stayy, it should not be long. Something to divert my attention suffices, so long as it is beneficial. There is much work to be done after all. Sitting idly by...is moth bothersome." He glanced her way and nodded. "Though I thank you for you consideration."
10:19:03 Yura Gives a calm nod, looking to him, "True enough... but enough about theories..." She chuckles lightly... she may be an uplifted race in the empire, but to be truthful, she was simply stating her own personal opinions and how it looked to a plain eye, opinions of the people. Personally she only held blind loyalty to her own race, and what was best for them... and right now, it was to be kind to their respective empire. "You are quite welcome, just tell me if I can help in any way, and I shall!" Gives a slow bow to him, and stood up, "I'm getting hungry... need help to the cafeteria?"
10:20:57 [Kisharra] << Well this was boring... Sitting there - staring through a window.. With a purring sigh; Kisharra leapt from her perch; landing daintily upon the ground once again and yawning.. What was there to do in a run down place like this? She'd wonder while prowling the streets in full view. She didn't care who saw her; who stared at her, but those who even tried to pet her; scratch her ears; or touch her tail would get hissed at.. It was at that point where Kisharra's stomach growled, causing the feline to turn her head down after sitting down in the usualy way cats do " Shushie! " She whispered; idly patting her stomach before deciding to groom herself in the middle of the damn street >>
10:27:49 CommanderCaedras considered her words and chuckled. "I can manage, but thank you. I am not hungry but...I think tea would be most appreciated," he responded, following her to the cafeteria. Caedras observed her movements, finding her alien physiology a thing of momentary interest before they arrived. "How long have you served the Empire here?"
10:27:59 [Israh] Finally, a large explosive sound would erupt within the forested wilderness. The large gathering of blasting caps without any sort of proper explosive catalyst would send the mammoth herd into instant panic mode. Thankfully the Blasting Caps alone which were nearby would not offer any sort of damage to the creatures. The non-thankful thing about this whole situation was that the blasting caps did not force the creatures to change direction. Instead it caused them to instantly freak out and begin charging forth to stampede onward. “Awe shit…” One of the men stated before the other man gave a grin. “Looks like its plan B then. Further up are larger traps meant to kill them.” The Mammoth that was leading this charge of a stampede though was no mindless beast. Many years of leading his herd has caused him to learn and spot things early on to keep his family safe. So it seemed that the traps ahead of them was not working all that well for they began changing direction from one point to another. Those that failed to follow the lead wound up falling into massive pit traps of giant steel skewers but those that did were navigating surprisingly well through the hazards placed before them. “…damn…” The larger man cursed and the shorter of the group gave a sigh. “Looks like we have to do things the hard way. Alright everyone! Let’s get ready! We need to get ahead of that heard!” Israh in the meantime just gave an extremely agitated look. Her gaze shifted to the side and she gave a tch… sound when the shorter man looked down to her and added that she was going to come along as well. “Fine…I’d rather walk but what ever…” A few minutes later the group was charging off on massive strange looking beasts of burden with horns atop their head. They were half the size of the mammoths they were trying to chase down but seemed stocky enough to handle the terrain of the wilds within the area. Israh was unable to ride such beasts, and due to it she was forced to remain in the back of one of the wagons they had used to carry a lot of their gear. The woman who had laughed earlier was currently steering the wagons two large beasts while in the back, Israh was lurched over the back of the wagon letting out an outlandish noise and worse yet, the contents of her stomach.
10:34:14 Yura the best way to describe her body was humanoid... the primarary difference, that tail that swayed behind her, lifted deftly a couple inches above the ground, and moving around people as well. While she was of reptilian decent, she had flexible ears, similar to a cat or a dog, but scaled obviously. Any other differences? Maybe, but none that were visably obvious... that hair of her's though was quite strange as well, perfectly snow white, and yet it looked like bright green trails flowed within. She'd motion to him to find a seat as she would bring them both tea, and some food for herself.
10:36:38 Erikur was wandering the streets of Ptolus, glad to see that the damage had been repaired and peoples lives had more or less gone back to normal. The Adventurer's Guild had lost quite a few people in the battle, but they had played a big part in the defense, and had been rewarded for it, and the families of the fallen given the rewards instead. He was actually out shopping right now, looking for a few odds and ends that he needed, such as parchment, quills and ink. He was also out buying new clothing, as some of his clothes were getting worn out and needed replacing.<E>
10:37:42 [Kisharra] << Once she had groomed herself, Kisharra was ready for the main event. After standing up, the feline sauntered onwards; setting her right hand lightly upon her hip; while her left hand swayed lazily " Bored, bored, bored... Whut am I gonna... Ehehe.. " She's passed through the dull looking place and reached fun heaven... Hospitals and the like were always great places for fun... And as such; the giddy little kitty squee'd happily before bounding off and soon, there was screaming resounding around the medical plaza as the feline tossed someone out into the cafeteria " You guys... So suck! " She grinned; emerging only a minute later while covered in blood [ How, we'll never know ] " How's about we play a new game? It's called hide and go die! " She mentioned playfully before some idiot decided to get cute and try get the jump on the feline - although, trying to ambush a feline was almost impossible.. He was soundly grabbed by the throat before a light cracking sound caused Kisharra to purr and smile at the same time " Don't you just freakin love that sound.. The noise that bone makes when too much pressure is applied " She spoke to those that remained; only to apply far more pressure than necessary and <POP> The male's head sort of seperated itself from his body; causing the feline to further become showered in blood. Her head rose slowly; mouth opened as the blood sunk down her throat; as well as make a complete mess of her fur - not that she cared in the least " Mmm... Yummy... " She mused before bursting out into deranged laughter while dropping the corpse to the ground. She sunk onto all fours and darted off; skidding around and leaving bloody prints every which way " Can't catch me... Hehehehehe " >>
10:44:06 CommanderCaedras was about to take a seat when he heard the screams and saw the feline humanoid go about her bloody business. She was gone quickly, in a welter of blood, gore, screams and hideous laughter. When she left, he quickly opened a comm line to responders to report the attack, transmitting the carnage via his remaining optic. "This is Governor-Ambassador Caedras requesting immediate assistance..." Hurriedly, he hobbled forward to usher other folks itno the cafeteria and to barriaced the doors when that would be possible.
10:44:47 [Ria] with her head tilted curiously, Ria watched Aavis from her seat, then the light saber when it rose into the air and started to disassemble in front of her very eyes. That was pretty damned neat, and way smoother than what would have happened if Ria had done it herself, because she didn't have good enough concentration to take it apart a piece or two at a time, the whole damned thing woulda gone to pieces in an instant and would have probably been strung across the area like grenade shrapnel. She had three major week points that kept her from being called a lady 1) cleanliness 2) manners 3) finesse. The last showed when she had to take things apart. Her lack of organization didn't escape the notice of others, but she saw order in her own chaos, so that didn't count. The way Aavis layed everything out was very neat and by the time she'd finished Ria was already diagramming everything, and making small notes in her chicken scratch handwriting. “we start with.... no idea.” she shrugged “this is a new piece of tech for me, so first things first... investigation, and research, which makes you key to figuring it out since you know most about it. So..... tell me about it??”
10:59:36 Emperor_Winter-Wolf had learned about Kisharra's antics, and how she had killed several people and knew that he had to act immediately. Once again he donned his battle armor and took up his sword and shield as he closed his eyes, soon locating Kisharra and knew that he had to trap her. As soon as she entered an area where there was no place to climb and only one way out and after a series of explosions, a wall of fire higher than she could leap erupted across the entrance. Then a figure appeared in the flames, emerging a moment later, wreathed in fire, a large sword in hand and a massive shield in the other. His armor gave him a terrifyin visage, as it hid his face, though his beard was easily seen as it came out below the eye-slits. The figure would then begin to approach Kisharra, the sword crackling with lightning and ice magic as he approached. Unlike the injured people she had killed, this man was obviously fit, and more than able to fight her.<E>
11:02:22 Yura flicks her ears, and gives a slight and heavy sigh shaking her head a bit, "Why... are there being like that, who thirst for all the bloodshed and nothing else." She shook her head, the scene of blood and gore didn't bother her... unfortunately she wasn't a true doctor... she knew how to do surgery to replace body parts, both internal and external... so did she have medical profession? Personally, yes... But she'd move, crouch herself to the ground, her eyes flickering a bit... weapons weren't allowed in hospitals... but unfortunately for her... and at this time a wide sinister grin spread across her face, sharp teeth showing and all, anger and bloodlust burned within her eyes... She was a weapon." As there would be a deep greenish haze comming from the shoulder she lifted, leveling her arm... those eyes flickering from the vibrant greed to a deep purple... letting her see through the walls of the hospital, targeting the murderer that was that feline. Seeing the man in the way, the imposing figure... she sighed a bit, and let her energies dim, but still had the feline target locked on... and unless the feline was able to see into the future, she knew she wouldn't miss.
11:02:57 Aavis-Jiun She chuckled a bit. " Alright then, scratch it is. " She first grabs up the power cell " Pretty much the most important thing in my opinion. The power, A diatium power cell, energy is released from this through... " She also uses the force to lift corresponding parts in sequence." These focusing lenses and gass, in this chamber. Then it is harnessed through ideal three crystals. This has only two. The main crystal is here, the other, here.. is pretty much adds a bit of fine tuning. The properties of the blade are dependent on the crystal, the design of a saber is so flexible that pretty much anything can be used as a crystal.. Mostly types and quality, but I've heard people using weird things like.. cremation ashes or.. Stones.. I do not know how.. Any who, this power insulator is installed here on the hilt, protecting me from discharges. There lies the activation switch, or button. There is a power adjustment knob here, you can tinker with the output. Higher power usually means a less stable blade. " This one does not have a discharge energy cell, so.. a bit under powered, in comparison to my main. Ahem. Once focused through the crystals the plasma is then sent through a series of field energizes.. .. these.. And modulation circuitry.. That.. Within the emitter matrices that further focuses it, into a coherent beam of energy that pops out here! One meter into the blade, just about.. It is arced by the blade containment field back to a negatively charged fissure ringing the emitter. Where its channeled back to the power cell by a superconductor. Circuit complete!. The containment field is what allows this blades ability not to go all over the place, and also make contact to solids, or other blades. Uh... " She finishes the construction and lights it up. The red beam hummus violently. Unstable, hot, and dangerous. " Uhm.. So then... "
11:12:38 [Israh] The events of such a miraculous, stomach content loosing hunt had occurred a few days back. While it was not the most graceful of hunts though, Israh managed to prove her resolve and skill when they managed to get ahead of the Mammoths and take them all down. With it having been a few days since that incredibly disastrous hunt. Israh would have been found merely wandering the city. It wasn’t until broadcasts of some sort of strange beast-like killer having rampaging through one of the nearby military hospitals that Israh even wound up paying any real attention. THEN the broadcast came across that the Emperor himself had chosen to take the issue up personally and that in turn caused a brow to quirk up. Normally she would have wandered by to just watch the chaos but now that the Emperor was involved? Oh things were going to get pretty damn good! As such it was off towards the pillar of smoke rising up above the skyscrapers that dotted the inner workings of the city’s inner landscape. When she did manage to finally arrive to the location that this strange occurrence would be happening. Israh would look to the group of armored men that no doubt came with the Emperor as ‘just in case’ backup since they would never let him just go gallivanting off solo without any possible second plan (cause we all know how politics work in regards to crap like that). Her gaze fell to all of them for a few moments until she spotted one of the elite guards she recognized from her little scuffle upon entering this world. Wandered over to him and began to pull her boots off, then held them up to him. “Here, take these for me. I don’t want anyone nabbing them.” If the guard took the boots (probably curious as to why the fuck he would) then Israh would wander towards the massive ring of fire and with a little manipulation of the weave and her natural element. Encase herself in a massive shell of earth from the ground under her and enter the flames. If the guy didn’t take the boots, well they would be laid across his shoulder or the top of his shield. Either way he would be found in possession of them and Israh would wander through the flames only to come to the other side and relinquish her armor only to spot the Emperor in his battle armor and raise a hand up in greeting to the Emperor as though what was happening was no real big deal. “Yo Brennus! How goes Emperoring and all that stuff?”
11:23:00 [Kisharra] << Well, wasn't this just swell... Here she was backed in a corner, someone targetting her from god knows where [ Keen nose, can smell it ] And not only one other, but two.. What they would probably not expect, is the fact that Kisharra was in the least bit scared.. Oh no she wasn't... If the cray cray woman somewhere was hoping for a clean shot, she really wouldn't get one, and taking into account the amount of obstacles said round or blast would have to travel through - she'd just be giving entertainment for the feline; whose eyes adjusted between the armor, sword and shield wearing dude; to the girl who.. Well let's face it.. Kisharra extended her hand from a bored position and pointed at the fame " Show off! " She murmered; and then pointed at the male; whose size and shiny appearance really didn't impress her in the least " Clearly compensation for like... EVERYTHING! " She grinned at this before cackling happily " Maybe you can entertain me for a bit yeah? I mean - it's a little unfiar all three of you attacking me at once isn't it? Oooo I'm just a little bored kitty whose trying to pleasure herself by doin' what she does best.. And then in comes the jack-booted thug in his shiny armor and oversized sword... I ain't scared of nuthin' ya hear me " She seethed before hissing at the pair in her sight. Pulling herself onto all fours before slowly rising to stand; the feline lowered her head only lsightly before baring her teeth; allowing her razor sharp claws to emerge before she grinned the expression of a sadist " Whose first for a fucking thrashing? " She remarked >>
11:28:16 CommanderCaedras begins to move out of the building while helping to evacuate the more I'll and injured. Somewhere, smoke drifted from flames in the building and he could only shake his head. He knew his leg would be a rightness by the end of the day, but he had to make sure others were out before more carnage to occur. It was all he could really do at the moment. (will be doing that for the rest of the scene. Will probably call a Federation dropship to come pick him up too.)
11:35:14 Yura helped Caedras
11:35:34 [Israh] Upon entering, after her greeting the Emperor it seemed that just before her sights was a feline anthropomorphic creature who seemed pretty sure of herself, but even more so the fact that she was pointed at and called a ‘Show Off’ resulted in only one thing. Israh could only give a wide grin and raise both her hands up close to her own chest and give two thumbs up in response to the comment. Why? Well because it was true. Israh was proud of being a show off with her skills. Whether it be cooking, brewing or kicking ass. She loved showing her stuff and that was one reason she had become so famous and popular in the other worlds she had come from. What would make it so different here in this world exactly? After all, a Show Off who had the skills to back her trades was someone to look up to and try to be like. Israh LOVED that. In any case. The feline continued to talk and talk and her gaze lifted from the feline to that of Brennus. Her senses though through the weave allowed her to keep track of the feline as she lowered on all fours and began hissing. “She’s cute, though all this stuff about her pleasuring herself makes me a little unsure if she’s hitting on me or trying to get me to fight her.” She stated and then began to look about at the carnage that was caused. Quite a few dead it seemed but nothing that Israh hadn’t seen in the past. Hell, war was something her world was far too well known for.
12:43:23 [Ria] Ria made rough, quick sketches and jotted down chicken scratch notes she'd probably be the only one to understand later as Aavis held up different parts and explained how it all worked starting from the power source on. Having to keep up with information scralling over a computer screen all the time made keeping up with the explanations pretty easy, and before too long she had a pretty fair start on knowing what she was working with. <I>this thingamajig, called a Diatium power cell, that released energy through those dodad and gas contained within aforementioned chamber. 3 crystals is ideal, but fewer can be used, which brought her to wonder what would occur if 4 or more were used. Would this cause some kind of issue down the road? And just about anything could be used as a crystal... that made sense, though she couldn't see anything that wasn't at least able to refract a little light being of great use as a crystal. Something else to investigate later. The saber could be activated with a switch or button, which brought the question up of whether a fingerprint recognition system could be put into place as an activation switch, or some form of biometric scanner. Then there was the ability to adjust the output, which factored how much power would be the right amount of power. If the blade became less stable with higher power output what occurred if the output was too low? Would there be a blade at all in that case? So much information! She would be at this for weeks, and would probably be stressed out, but having more fun that she was supposed to be. As Aavis continued to explain, demonstrating as she put the light saber back together, then activated it, Ria was absolutely fascinated. Her eyes on the saber, while her hand continued to move, jotting down tidbits of information and calculations for trying, and of course those notes only contained a portion of the terms that had been used to explain how everything went together and what each part was called. Really.... Ria wasn't one for being totally technical about anything anymore. Bhais had kinda made her give up on being technical about most things after their crazy mixed up conversation about matefriend vs girlfriend, and got her brain all jumbled up.
13:00:26 Aavis-Jiun She let a smile a bit. " All light sabers are unique, as all crystals are unique, and all who choose, craft, or forge their own crystal component are unique. For this blade. From what I know, its former owner was a master of the most aggressive and brutal style of saber combat light saber wielders know. The crystal was meant to amplify the heat and ferocity of the blade. The power setting is at its original.. Here.. " She turned it up, the blade's plasma was so intense it gave a burning shroud that licked out of the containment field. " It is meant for short combat, and devastating blows. If you where struck with this you might catch fire, as well as have something important from your body incinerated away from it. An arm.. A head.. Your legs? Needless to say, this saber's master was not a very nice man. A Sith Apprentice.. " She pauses. " .. Sith, are the most dedicated people in the galaxy to the dark side, and its power and knowledge. " She scratched her chin a bit. " So, you can have this. Reverse Engineer it or something. The core design is the same in all lightsabers. But, these are my custom ones, specialized to me. See? " She whipped both out after setting the red blade down. These where a very focused set of blades, one larger with a strong beam, likely for defence. The other was bright, and narrow.. Precision instrument for the agile duelist. The design of the hilt on both sabers where very similar. And after powering them down, she opened up the casing to reveal the design between hers and the other where pretty much the same. Though hers had two crystals each, one for the main, the second for better tuning. When they where activated without the casing, Ria would be able to see how the energy circulated from main crystal to most other parts, by that wonderful glow. " These crystals are also strongly affiliated to the force.. Well.. Through me. " She points at the synthetic. " I built this one, just like I can move things around with gestures. Forged my own crystal. " She nodded." SO. Have any grand follow up questions for me? " As she put her tools away, and also left the blaster on the table. " If you wanna get started on making me more advanced weapons, I'll start in paying you with this. " She'd pop out the odd little green crystal the dragon chick gave her. " Given to me by Yura, the reptille-esque woman. It's got her unique magic pact in pretty good, highly corrosive effect with my saber. Don't know what else it can do aside from hold massive amounts of magic energy. I know shit about magic. So.. It's just bugging me. MM.. You'll probably find out more cause it looked like it was going to be some pretty high up there stuff, for military advances. "
13:29:13 Emperor_Winter-Wolf looked at Kisharra before placing his shield on his back and his sword in its sheath before forming some sort of handsign with his hands. Then he was surrounded by a golden glow, and suddenly the ground all around became malleable as waves and ripples began to form all around them. Then suddenly seven dragon heads made of stone began to rise from the ground, their movements and sounds making them seem almost alive. All seven would look at Kisharra as they steadily surrounded her, eyes glowing as they began to weave back and forth in a mesmerizing fashion. If successful, Kisharra would be lulled into a stupor before the dragon heads would attack, each going to entrap her by forming a prison of stone around her.<E>
13:36:16 [Kisharra] << So there she was; casually licking herself in a state approximated by boredom; though probably not in the desired places one would expect in public company [ A cat has to groom herself y'know ] Still, as Ser-Beardsley [ Patented and Copywrited thanks ♥ ] put his shield and his little sword away, Kisharra paused and rose her gaze towards him " Ooooo what'cha doin now? " She asked; adding a soft purr to her words before.. Holy flying nutsack.. That was a neat trick wasn't it? Stone dragon heads huh? DEFINATELY compensating for something there? Or showed this dude had a fetish for mythical creatures... Once that ol dancing started however; the feline remembered a rather popular phrase; and with a stroke of luck [ Or common sense ] She closed her eyes and grinned stupidly " Ta-Da! " She mused before sniffing the air and honing in on the male scent of body order and superiorty... Did he just reek of it... Mr Compensation " I can SMMMMMEEEEELLLLLL YOU! " She cried; casually giving him the ol' two fingered salute and a shrill, sadistic giggle; along with a purr or two " D'aawwwww.. Wassamatter? Did your wittle twick not work of cutsey kitty? Bwahahahahahaha LOOOOSSSERRRRR! " >>
13:43:14 Emperor_Winter-Wolf simply chuckled as he had expected the technique to fail anyway, it had merely been a distraction at any rate. He would then call upon his Air magic to increase his speed and closed the distance on Kisharra. He would then move in to deliver a powerful gut punch to Kisharra's abdomen while her eyes were convieniently closed. While her sense of smell and hearing were indeed great, they would not tell her how close he was to her yet, since it would take a few seconds for his scent and sound to catch up to his actual location. If the gut punch landed, it would likely send her flying backwards to slam against the wall of the building, both the punch and impact on the building would likely cause some damage.<E>
13:48:32 [Kisharra] << Now then - secondly, when someone as big as him - wearing ARMOR of all things, then a feline - particularly one like her is going to notice something.. Doesn't matter how much speed you got; they gonna hear you coming from a mile away. Kisharra was no exception. Even without sigh; her additional senses were keen enough to know something was going down. For the sound of his chuckle, to the subtle rubbing of plate metal of that coffin he wore. Her ears twitched; and stood firmly on end as she waited and " WEEEEEEE! "</u> Under his legs she went and tumbled away before opening her eyes and digging her claws into the ground in an effort to stop herself from skidding through the wall of fire <i>" You big tree you! " She snarled delightfully " All I wanna do is play... But you and your stoopid tricks are screwin' it up PBTH! " Kisharra stuck her tongue out at him before canting her head to a point that it was now sideways; both ears pointed to her right " Buk-buk-buk... BUKUCK! " Her immitation of a chicken apparently " Ehehehehe.. How's bout I put my hands behind my back - bet ya can't hit me then... Tanky! " She coo'd before realigning her head and rolled her eyes in their sockets >>
15:15:49 [Ria] all crystals were unique, particularly those that were crafted/forged by their owner using unique components? She was somewhat lumping bits and pieces of information together, while formulating ideas and compiling lists of different things to try. Ria moved back from the light saber, not so much to get away from the heat coming off the blade as to keep herself from reaching toward it when Aavis mentioned that it would incinerate whatever of her body parts it touched, and probably set her on fire to boot. That wasn't something that the poor little engineer wanted to experience. It was bad enough she was small for a Caledon woman, but to be missing valuable fingers or limbs; much less her head, which would make her dead. “So generically the core of the light saber is roughly the same, only the components and look are different, and based upon the power level output the blade can be stable or unstable... the lower power levels would probably mean the blade would be smaller? Or else not as strong perhaps?” she was beginning to mutter mostly to herself as she continued to observe and jot down notes and little thumbnail sketches. “previous owner of overtly volatile saber was innately evil, possibly cruel, so perhaps ones desire to cause harm would factor into the saber's.... function? Personality? As well as their fighting style...” more muttering and note taking and observing as Aavis showed Ria her own custom made sabers; upon which she was transfixed, her eyes following the glowing path, able to see for herself how the inner workings worked together. “beautiful...” while she put stuff away Ria wrote down more notes, flipped through pages to others to compare her thoughts with previous ones until Aavis' voice brought her back “Oh, I don't work with weapons much. That's more the combat engineers thing, or the weapons guys. I'm more a glorified mechanic/techie that happens to love to tinker with any new tech she comes across. In the case the the light sabers I'll probably revers engineer the one you gave me as you suggested earlier, before meeting up with my weapons buddies who is in charge of all the weaponry stuff. By that point I'll have a working understanding of how they're put together and the effects of different things used in their creation. I could probably figure out how to make improvements and whatnot as well, which will be handed off to the weapon tech specialists so that they could probably better help you with your own weaponry.” she looked at the little green stone that was offered to her, which contained a concentrated amount of magic power in it, then looked away “also... you should probably give that to someone who won't accidentally blow everything up with it... me and magic don't get along too well. My own natural talents are moving things, forcefully pulling them apart, and blowing them up. Anything above a basic level spell explodes in my face too, so... yeah...” she seemed to think for a long moment, still flipping through notes, which were slowly torn off the pad and arranged on the workbench in various order and then rearranged and new pages joined the clutter. “I have one question in regards to the activation of the lightsabers. Is it strictly button or switch, or are there other possibilities, like using a biometric scanner, or some form of dial... or some such?”
15:25:59 Aavis-Jiun She waited patiently around for the question to reach her, getting a sense one would in due time. Sure enough.. Though odd, it was about the button. " A button.. Mine are both spring switches. " She shows closer, to where the button at the thumb was, it was clicked up, to activate the blade, but it sprung back down. Clicked again to deactivate. " Though this on and off style switch is not very smiled upon. After all, what happens if you are disarmed? the gyroscopic effect of that intense plasma makes the blade dance all over the place when not controlled. But, I felt I needed one such, I like to alter my grip often. Switch between hands and such, you know. " She would shrug with two hands, drop the sabers and catch them with her remaining two which slipped out of her robes. " It's just my style. Also.. If you can know the technology, I would rather you. Because this is not a weapon, it is a tool, first and foremost. It would just make me more comfortable knowing it was created as such. " short nod “and I have a good sense that you are the right person for this. " her arms all crossed, both under her robes, and across the confines of her large sleeves.
[Ria] “Mhm..” Ria nodded watching closely as the saber was clicked on, then off again, before the dropped down to be caught by a second pair of hands that she hadn't noticed that the woman possessed. That was pretty cool! “I see... so having a push button that clicks on and off so that when the button is pushed the first time it stay on isn't smiled upon, because the saber must be physically turned off rather than deactivating when out of the user's hand, where as a switch that is flipped can be made so that it flips back off when the saber is either dropped or taken by force, I'm assuming the other form of button likely requires for said button to be held down? Or else is not spring loaded?” more mutterings to herself as she continued until she was happy, then gave Aavis a huge smile “Thank you. Hearing that said makes me feel honored that I was good enough to have this opportunity to learn about a new technology.” she paused for a moment to look over the casing of the saber she would soon be reverse engineering, then write something down in her chicken scratch handwriting “Given that I'm probably the smallest natural born Caledonian on the planet, without being a dwarf, I don't usually get to be first chose for too many things; especially if they involve magic.” another pause, as though in thought before she nodded towards her robes “By the way, what is your race? Being the planet that it is, Caledon see many different races from many different galaxies; whether they come on purpose, or get sucked through a worm hole, or accidentally activate inpute the wrong star gate coordinates, or a relay malfunctions and they're shot in our direction because of it. I don't think I've actually seen another like you before.”
18:01:12 Aavis-Jiun She let a kind of faded smile free, crossing her upper arms, while the lower set on her tilted hips. " .. You wouldn't.. Ever. I'm in the wrong universe, I think. I'm a Codru-Ji. We're born like very large hounds, then we take humanoid form after puberty. Bit of information I think would be interesting. Ah. So the universe thing. You know, I've only been on this planet in this univers for four days now. I was on a star ship in a fleet in mid battle. War between the jedi and the sith. Well, that wormhole was opened by I think.. A unafiliated Jedi.. Welp, far as I know everything died but me, cause I was in an escape pod shooting through a big tube at the time. Now that wrecked fleet is hovering above orbit around the planet. " She takes a deep breath. " Welcome to a universe where.. I AM the only force sensative in the universe.. Maybe I am now one to consider herself the force, in its entirety. It is possible I may be generating it here. That would be nice. " Really nice actualy. Without the sith or jedi breathing down by back.. Or having to dodge lightsabers...Ahem So. Is there anything else, Ria? Any way I can help? "
