Lintaya walked down the streets with towards this new blacksmith she has heard about. She'd look down to the paper in her hand and followed the directions towards the man. She'd stop and place a coin in every out stretched hand towards her as she looked for the shop. Once there she'd walk in and looked around to see what this blacksmith specialized in the most. “Hello?” she asked softly as her eyes wondered the walls of the shop.
[DG_GM] .:The officer that had been talking to Kasey, Liara and the other asari had been about to return to his dropship to return to the flagship when his hand went to his ear "Yes Admiral? Yes sir, I understand sir, immediately sir" as he lowered his hand and then looked at Kasey "Admiral Aurelius is requesting you and your companions presence on the Serasia, so if you would, please accompany me with your companions from your ship" as he looked at Kasey, waiting for her response.:.<E>
Kasey` had turned in preparation to head back to the Normandy, Liara following as the other Asari waded back to her ship to prepare the others to be towed back to space. But it was the tone with which the officer spoke to whom ever it was in his ear that told her to wait, turning ever so slightly to gaze at him. He'd just received orders. No doubt to bring.....her to their leader. A quiet snort from the redhead earned Kasey a weird look. Her omnitool lit up as she issued her own orders. "EDI, ready the Normandy to be towed back into space." An affirmation was received and Kasey looked towards her ship, motioning Garrus down with a tilt of her head. He'd said companions. Garrus and Liara were probably two of her most trusted. "Ready when you are." She motioned him onward as the ramp to the Normandy's bay began closing. "Water, Shepard? Really? You know Turians hate water." Garrus' dual tones reached her ears and Kasey felt her eye twitch. "Later, Garrus. We'll talk later." Grumbled with a sigh following.
[DG_GM] .:The officer nodded and waited for them to board the dropship, which hovered a few inches above the water's surface without causing much more than a small distubance in the waves. Once on board, curved panels rolled up from the bottom to enclose the interior space and seal it against the vacuum of space, though there were viewports in each panel, giving a good field of vision. The officer then banged on the door to the cockpit, located above and forward of the passenger compartment, and the dropship lifted off, rapidly gaining attitude. It was immediately noticeable that it flew much smoother and agilely than the UT-47A Kodiak. Then the dropship broke through the atmosphere, and for the first time, the Caledonian fleet was visible, easily over a hundred ships strong, all of varying classes, but overall the same design. At the center of the formation was a colossal ship even larger than a Reaper, its length reaching nearly 4 kilometers. The dropship was now headed towards that ship, and soon enough<C>
[DG_GM] <C>docking in one of the forward docking bays. A gangway was extended, coming below the dropship as magnetic latches attached to the top of the dropship and the panels rolled down. Upon exiting the dropship, the hangar was massive, carrying several dropships, along with a few vessels that were obviously one- and two-seater fighter craft. There were hangar crews running around on several levels, their pace and focus making it obvious that something big was happening. The officer then quickly escorted the three up to the bridge, passing by armed soldiers that were obviously marines, their grim expressions revealing a tense situation. Once on the bridge, they would see a bridge that was similar in many ways to human and turian C.I.C.'s, except that the platform overlooking the C.I.C. was larger, accomodating several officers, some of which were women. There was a large projection above a large pit that showed a new wormhole had opened, and the fleet that they had glimpsed from the viewports of the<C>
[DG_GM] <C>dropship moving into a roughly three-dimensional semi-sphere in front of the wormhole. Leaning on the railing overlooking the projection was a man that looked exactly like a human as Kasey, Liara, and Garrus were used to seeing, though they had seen others like him, but likely had not realized it due to their protective headgear and uniforms.:.<E>
Kasey` followed the gentleman to the dropship, Liara and Garrus trailing along behind her. She climbed up into the ship, turning to offer her companions a hand up. Once sealed within the confines of the ship, Kasey's gaze was allowed to wander, studying the officer that had come to greet them before looking over at Garrus to make eye contact. The Turian was silent but obviously tense. Here they were, without armor, without weapons and being taken to...Somewhere that wasn't the Normandy. At least they had Liara and even without armor or a gun, Kasey was still a forced to be reckoned with should the need arise. As they broke through the atmosphere, Kasey's eye was drawn outward to the fleet of ships that floated ever so peacefully in the speckled black. A fleet like that could no doubt cause serious damage to Reaper forces. And they were headed right for the belly of the biggest beast. "She's likely bigger than the Ascension..." Garrus rumbled from over her shoulder, earning a nodding from the redhead. C>
[Kasey`] With their arrival, they were herded out of the dropship, all three sets of eyes noting the activity that was happening in the bay before they were escorted to the bridge. Green eyes were sharp as they studied each passing face, noting the expressions each armed soldier wore. She'd seen that look before. Worn it herself on occasion. In fact, she probably wore it now. She was far from home with a war waging on without her. Flanked by Garrus on her right and Liara to her left, her gaze immediately fell on the man who she assumed was the commanding officer and fell into parade rest, awaiting to be addressed like any good guest/marine would. Even if this man was far from her CO.
Admiral_Aurelius didn't immediately greet the three guests, as he was listening to one of his senior officers "I don't give a damn about provisions, we'll worry about that once we get those ships off the planet and in dry dock on Caledon, but before that, we deal with the threat approaching through the wormhole, now get those damn fighters launched and ready!" as the officer saluted and rushed to his station. Aurelius then turned to the three and approached "Sorry to be so blunt, but maybe you can tell me what is approaching quickly through that damned wormhole, two signatures roughly half the size of my ship, and according to the profiles, they look like damned squids, so you had best tell me what the hell we have approaching us now!" his voice strong, deep, but also strained with age. His pale eyes were intense, and it was obvious that he knew that they would know what was approaching, but he was confident in his men and fleet. He just needed to know what they were and how to deal with them, and it<C>
Admiral_Aurelius <C>was obvious that they were an unknown enemy in this galaxy.<E>
Kaenan was in the back of the workshop working on a piece of armor that covered the back. While relatively easier than the chest piece, it was still a difficult task, and he could not hear Lintaya due to the noise of the forge, and the sounds of his hammer steadily shaping the metal. In the store portion that Lintaya had entered, racks and barrels of weapons and tools were spread out to give a customer plenty of room to look around. On mannequins made from balls and cylinders of wood were sets of armor, along with shelves of individual armor pieces and other tools. On the counter was a large bell that could be rung by pulling the rope attached to the knocker. It needed to be a good size so that its sound could be heard over the noises of the workshop in the back.<E>
Lintaya looked towards the sound of hammering. She'd wait for a few moments before ringing the bell, and takes that time to look over everything in the shop. She'd admire the pieces and picked up a small dagger that she could carry on her and then smiles when she found a larger dagger with a dragon engraved in the blade. “Now this will suit father.” When she heard the familiar sound of the piece that was being worked on getting dumped into water she took that moment to ring the bell so not to interrupt his work. When Kaenan walked out she'd dip in a curtsy to him. “Hello I would like to purchase these and wondered if you happen to make garden decorations by chance as well as weapons?”
Kasey` was a patient woman. Mostly. Had to be. What with having talking two war hungry races into behaving and helping fight the Reapers. So she listened quietly, hands clasped behind her back, confident that Garrus and Liara would have her back should things go south. Ah. So a wormhole DID swallow them up. Annnd....It sounded like they weren't alone. The words "threat approaching" and "fighters launched" rang through Kasey's head and then the CO turned to them. Bluntness she could handle but his demanding answers is what set Kasey's eyes ablaze. Her temper was kept checked. Unknowns. Lots of unknowns and without weapons. Behind her, Liara gasped as the man described what was coming through the wormhole. "Reapers, sir." She stated, lifting her chin slightly. "And depending on the class, I doubt your fighters will stand a chance." Garrus supplied over her right shoulder. Kasey nodded in agreement. "The last one we took down was taken down by a fleet of human and Geth ships and the Quarian Flotilla."
[Kasey`] Which together probably numbered the same amouth of ships she saw on approach to this ship. "Basically, they're touch sons of bitches and you'll probably need to combine the efforts of your entire fleet." Kasey finally spoke again. She didn't show it but there was a small trill of panic settling in. Would these people be able to handle the Reapers?
Admiral_Aurelius nodded "Thats all I needed, and again, I do apologize for the bluntness, but this is a emergency situation and I do not have the luxury of being courteous, now, if you would please join me on the observation platform and take your seats, we'll discuss things after the battle is over" as he went back to where he had previously been leaning on the railing. He looked around the bridge "Inform every ship that I want all weapons armed and ready to fire on command, our fighter wings will hit the enemy first, once they are out of the way, I want all ships to open fire, kinetic, beam, and missile weapons, don't hold anything back, we'll salvage whats left, and send the wreckage to Tuatha for study" as the bridge bustled with frantic activity. Aurelius's gaze then went to the bridge viewports, watching the wormhole, eyes narrowed as he waited. Then the two Reaper's emerged, both of Sovreign-class, and moments later, explosions lit up across the lengths of both Reapers as the fighter<C>
Admiral_Aurelius <C>launched their ordanance, then peeled away. The Reapers were caught offguard, having not expected such a sudden attack, and before they could recover, the entire 504th Assault Fleet began firing in steady waves. While the beam weapons would not cause vibrations, the kinetic and missile weapons would cause subtle vibrations that could be felt by Kasey, Garrus, and Liara. In front of the wormhole, the Reapers had managed to erect their kinetic barriers, warding off the kinetic and missile salvo's, but it was quickly apparent that the beam weaponry, which was only theoretical in the Milky Way, was causing damage with each strike.<E>
Kaenan looked at Lintaya as he entered the store and then looked at the daggers "Alright, the daggers will be four hundred Eburones each, and what sort of garden decorations do you want, and what sort of metal" as he wiped his hands. He then walked over to the counter, took out a stack of parchment and quickly began writing out a receipt for the daggers, and beginning a list of items she would want made, though he did not fill it out beyond writing at the top 'Custom Order'. He would fill out the rest once she told him what she wanted, what metal to make them from, and what her name was.<E>
Kasey` resisted the urge to shrug at the apology. Unknowns, she reminded herself. Instead, she nodded when their advice seemed to be heeded, orders issuing forth. Kasey stepped forward, hands resting on the railing where the man leaned. Liara and Garrus weren't far behind her, doing their best to stay out of the way of the bustling bridge crew. Kasey's entire frame tensed at the word 'salvage'. "No!" She all but shouted, no doubt earning a few weary looks. "No salvaging! It must all be destroyed." With fire. Kill it with fire. She'd fall silent, expecting to be able to explain her outburst once they weren't in danger of becoming canon fodder for the Reapers. "Shit." The expletive hissed from full lips as she saw the massive Reapers. And then pretty fireworks. "It might be prudent to aim for the appendages." Liara supplied calmly, though the nervousness could be sensed by her companions.
Lintaya smiles as she would look to the daggers and hands him a thousand eburones. Then placed them in her basket. “Well I was wondering if you could make a life sized tiger in any metal you have to make it as close to a white tiger as possible. And the same for an arctic wolf, I once had them as pets and thought having something like them around it wont feel as empty at home.” She'd hand him small drawn portraits of the animals she did herself a few years ago before they passed. “They don't have to be solid pieces. If it will be easier you can just make an outline of them.”
Kaenan looked at the sketches and considered as he placed the cash in the safebox under the countertop. He nodded "I think mithril and black iron would be best for the tiger, the black iron for the stripes, and only mithril for the wolf" as he quickly wrote down the details. He then turned the parchment to where it was right side up for Lintaya and asked her to sign it. Once that was done, he would jot down an estimated completion date and place it on the board behind him "Alright, if I can get my next shipment by next week when its due, I should have your pieces done in about three weeks" as he looked at her.<E>
Admiral_Aurelius glanced at the three guests, but didn't ask just yet, though he could guess that it had something to do with a passive ability inside the things. He then turned back to watch as first one Reaper and then the other began breaking up, unable to stand up to the concentrated attacks. They weren't even able to close in and attack the barrage was so heavy, when both Reapers had finally broken into pieces, none of which showed any signs of further movement, he stood up. He then looked at Kasey "I will assume that outburst had something to do with a passive ability that those things have? Also, you should know that standard procedure for any unknown technology to be locked in shielded warehouses in secured facilities, study is done through probes and mechanical means until it is determined to be safe" as he looked at her. He then turned and sat on the railing as the bridge crew began the task of coordinating clean up. Meanwhile, salvage ships were headed for the fragments of the Reapers, hauling<C>
Admiral_Aurelius <C>special containers that were tightly shielded to block any sort of radiation or energy signal. It was also necessary for the Reaper fragments to be collected and safely stored so that they pieces did not make planefall on Junius III.<E>
Lintaya smiles as she would sign the parchment and then she would place another five hundred eburones in his hand. “Thank you, for the pieces and the daggers. My father will like your work. Would you mind if I send him your way if he dose. He may place and order in himself.” She'd start to turn and leave but she'd stop and dip into a curtsy to him. “When you finish with the order send word to the palace. I will rush right over to admire your work even more.” Rising she'd give him a genuine smile, something she hasn't done in a very long time.
Kasey` seemed to hold her breath as the Reapers slowly but surely lost this battle. Ah, the joys of having a fleet at your command. And a fleet with more than one option for weapons. Very nice. Her fingers ached from where they dug into the railing as they relaxed, her green eyes settling on the man's face as she shifted her weight from foot to foot. "Indoctrination. Such an awful thing." Garrus tsked softly, earning a glare from Kasey and a nudge from Liara. Kasey's attention snapped back to the man. "It doesn't matter. Shields won't do a thing. Any surviving technology from those Reapers needs to be destroyed or anyone in it's presence, shield or not, will go fucking nuts." Or so she assumed. These people had technology the Milky Way had yet to see. But if they started having folks going mad and talking about hearing voices, Kasey would do the "I told you so!" dance.
Admiral_Aurelius nodded "Hmmm, sounds similar to what the Jarett creatures on Jarett IV did before they were nearly hunted to extinction by native hunters, we saved enough for a breeding population on a nature reserve world, and while we were never able to identify how they did it, we did manage to figure out how to block the ability, those containers on the salvage ships are equipped with that technology, but we will keep an eye on the crews" as he looked at them. He then looked to the side as an officer reported the successful lifting of all ships from Junius III, and the Behemoth-class super-freighter was now in the process of docking the ships inside its hull for transport. He nodded before looking to Kasey, Garrus, and Liara "It'll be a few hours before we reach Caledon, so, why don't we go to the conference room just behind the bridge, I am sure you have questions, and I certainly do as well, since we'll need to figure out dietary needs for all your crews" as he would lead them through the<C>
Admiral_Aurelius <C>doorway between the seats behind the observation platform. Inside was a luxuriously furnished conference room, along with a long table and seats for twenty people. Refreshments and food would have to wait until suitable food was found, but it wouldn't be long in coming once Garrus informed Aurelius of the need for Dextro-aminic food and drink.<E>

Garrus tsked softly, earning a glare from Kasey and a nudge from Liara.

Refreshments and food would have to wait until suitable food was found, but it wouldn't be long in coming once Garrus informed Aurelius of the need for Dextro-aminic food and drink.<E>
