[Ria] Reviving her old, previously abandoned, airfield wasn't exactly a one man job, but, with the occasional helping hand, a couple of the buildings were starting to look as they had back when the airfield had first been constructed. Everything had been well built, and survived the weathering of time, so the structures didn't need completely torn down, just a few replacement panels, and what not here and there, and some rust remover, followed by a new coat of paint. Six of the twenty or so buildings now looked new on the outside, and were slowly being fixed up on the insides. Her two older brothers and their kids were taking on at least half of the restoration jobs in exchange for food, use of the airfield, and a bit of extra pocket change. The first time she'd given little Antony a hand full of copper Eburone he looked like she'd just handed him the world. Five year olds and money. That was a sight to see. Right now Ria had the whole place to herself. Her brothers were at work, their children in school, and no one else really came out this way unless they were looking for her. Sitting down by the edge of the water, her feet buried in the wet sand while cold water sloshed against her ankles, and threatened to reach for her hind end, she looked at the city where most of her life took place. It wasn't far from here to there, but it was far enough the sounds of bustling everyday life didn't reach her over the sound of the waves. If she could manage to clear her head it would almost be like meditating, but current events kept her mind racing; bouncing from one train of thought to the next before she had time to focus. If she wasn't worried about accidentally frying her music player she'd have brought it down to the beach with her, because music always helped to clear her mind, and keep her from eavesdropping on anyone without meaning to. Thanks to Mr. Talburt her mother was now convinced that she was engaged to a soldier, which could have been considered partially true to some minute degree. When she'd first met Bhais they hadn't been particularly pleasant to one another, having bumped into one another one frosty, winter afternoon whilst she was on her way after lunch. During that time he was just some oversized armor clad jerk that didn't have the courtesy to say so much as a simple “excuse me”, with his helm glued to his head. The next time he'd nearly scared her half to death when she entered the training courtyard on her way to fix one of the training simulators, and he'd jumped up ready for a fight thinking she was an attacker or something. That time he'd had a notepad on hand, and they sort of chatted; him accompanying her to the simulator room, testing it with her after she'd finished her work. She remembered thinking he was the moron that accidentally fried one of the server cores. Ria still didn't know who the moron was who'd done it, but she'd catch them eventually. Actually, she was sure that they'd done it on purpose, since it stopped happening a couple weeks after she'd started spending time with Bhais. To think so much time had passed already. Ria let out a sigh, thinking about her talk with her mother the eve of her engagement. There had been demands to know how long they'd been seeing each other, and how they'd met, and other typical mother questions. She'd wanted to tell her mother how they'd actually started seeing each other, but telling her mother “Oh, well... I let him take me flying... yes, he has wings mother..... we landed in a forest, where we took a pleasantly little winter stroll among the hibernating trees, where one of us started a snowball fight that ended with him throwing his sword like a spear into a tree, because he thought someone was spying on us. After that, since it was getting late, and cold, and we were a little soaked from the snow he went hunting, then started a fire with his breath. I ate a dear heart whilst he ate the rest, which was when I saw his face for the first time, because his helm didn't allow him to eat whilst hiding his face.” then would come the fun part of the story where she explained the awkward conversation where she had to explain that what he tried to call a mate friend, was better said as girlfriend, and yeah.... then she'd have to explain how she'd ended up in his bed that same night... without leaving for a day, or two. Ria didn't hardly let her own family touch her for so much as a short hug, so her mother finding out about something like that would have some interesting consequences. Ria didn't like being touched still, by anyone, but Bhais was one of those crazy exceptions, because he'd been about the same when it came to such things. He hadn't even had a visible sense of humor until they'd been together for a while. This brought her back to her conversation with her mother who wanted to know everything about everything. Turning her gaze from the city, Ria sighed again. She'd have to tell her everything at some point in the near future, before her mother received a wedding invitation and wondered why it bore the imperial seal or why it said Prince Bhais. Another sigh followed the retreat of the wave that returned to the sea, before she rose to return to her work on one of the old hangars that still needed half of its roof replaced.
12:52:40 [Maidyn-Ashenstar] She was left behind for one particular purpose. To observe. Every day she was to go about the Capital city of the Caledons and observe them. Their day to day life, their politics, everything she could. Her Emperor wanted to know all that he could about his new tentative allies. She was excited to finally be trusted enough to go out on her own and act accordingly. But nervous butterflies billowed in her stomach when she walked slowly and silently through the halls of the Imperial Palace. The places she was allowed to be that is. When she met guards, she politely asked for directions elsewhere around the compound. At the moment, she stood infront of two large windows that faced a sweeping wide lawn. Clothed in her Keeper's garb, Maidyn caught the sunlight and reflected it in various prisms along the hem of her skirt. She wore the Akkad Badge pinned to a shoulder strap. All in all, this unobtrusive woman was waiting, for what? She wouldn't tell you if you paid her.
13:38:05 CommanderCaedras moved through the Palace halls at a measured pace, having finished a diplomatic luncheon with several dignitaries here. Such meeting were still a new affair for the Futuran Commander, but orders were orders and the Fleet Command willed his position here. It would be done, simple as that. There was a crisp cadence to his step, a set to his jaw as he observed the courtyard from a balcony walkway, his dark uniform standing out in crisp contrast to the bright colours of the world and its people. For moment, he rested against the balcony's railing, taking a few seconds to observe, to breath and enjoy a moment's peace, away from politicking and dining and discussions of wine or future investments. Instead, he looked to the sky and felt his hands itch. So, he placed one to rest on the ceremonial Futuran officer's sabre at his side and the other on the railing and heaved a sigh.
13:43:11 [Maidyn-Ashenstar] The Sun-kissed woman tensed. Her eyebrows arched as she heard foot steps above her. But no voice, immediately suspecting treachery , Maidyn turned around, hand at the small concealed pistol at her side. Finding no one in the immediate area, she looked up, and squinted. Oh, the God-keeper knew those colors. All too well. The Akkad and the Futuran were tentative allies at best, but due to the recent Futuran attack on the Genlai mining world, the Akkadian woman was skeptical of his being here. Maybe peace was finally invading the galaxies after all. Or perhaps the Caledonians were being treacherous! Either way it was worth her investigating. Thin silken strips tensed over her thighs and curled beneath her feet as she climbed her way to the balcony from a set of thin silver stairs to Caedras' right. She stayed by the escape route, hands clasped behind her back, dark green eyes piercing his sides.
13:58:00 Ursulla ~*~ The converstation she had with the slavegirl last night really started to bug her. She was carrying books, meaning she must be able to read. By her complexion and how she presented herself, she wasn't just some urchen that was stolen off the streets, she was actually noblity. Or was at one point. Sighing she rolls over on the lounge, snuffing out the incense and sits up. She looks to her bandages and starts to peel them off. There was nothing but pink markings, and they wouldn't scar. The magical particles here was boosting her phoenix powers. And she was both estatic and fearful of such a feat. "I need....to find someone.." She was hoping there was some high powered magical being she could talk to, maybe help with the transition that was to happen by the next blood moon. Seh stood up, slipped her feet into golden flats that laced up to her knees, and adjusted her off the shoulder free flowing sleeves and skirt pale teal dress adorened with silver stars. Throwing open her chamber doors, she exits. Making a jog like dash around the place. Looking for Him or anyone else that could aid her in her quest ...her strife. Her long golden streaked red hair flowing behind ehr, nothing to pin it back and out of her face. Standing still, her own aura waves it around to make the appearance of flames flicking.<E>
14:05:42 CommanderCaedras heard the movement beneath him and caught sight of the young woman moving up the stairs but he made no movement otherwise but stay by where he stood. He could feel her gaze, just like many of the others that bore into his head, the back of his skull. The apprehension, the tension, the animosity or veiled insinuations were hardly new. Truth be told, the careful glare was quite a refreshing change of pace; the life of a diplomat was hardly a welcomed change to the pilot, but, orders were orders. He was happy to comply and fulfill his duty. “If you've something to say, or ask, then pose your query or state your grievance,” he spoke, his voice calm and steady, and opposite her view, a smirk formed at the corner of his mouth. “Unless you've more daggers to stare into my sides. You missed a spot above the second rib.” A gloved hand reached up and tapped there before lowering back down. It wasn't unkind. It was business-like, professional. A Futuran's Futuran, it seemed.
14:10:21 [Maidyn-Ashenstar] She made sure to stare extra hard at his side. Extra hard at the second rib, so hard if she had a dagger in hand it would likely have already been thrown! But it was out of an amused playing around state of mind. She chuckles darkly before stepping out of the shadows. Her hand removed itself from her hip-pocket before revealing herself. She didn't introduce herself, but made a bee-line to the point of her investigation. " Why are you here? Aren't your fleets busy defending themselves against the Genlai retaliation? " She had a bite and a bitter amount of confusing anger towards him. Really, inwardly Maidyn hated him more for working with the Caledonians. BUt it was the anger she was here to quell and learn to control. So was the Emperor's wish.
14:10:49 Veda` had not left her rooms since her arrival yesterday evening. The two handmaidens that had been hired to assist her during the voyage had been dismissed, replaced by three very beautiful Sclabhai that awaited whatever the Princess requested of them. …Veda had heard of these females even on Hjaalmarch, how they were trained to be entertainers, healers, cooks, servants, … even pleasure slaves, if it were. –The whole concept was quite unorthodox to her, but she did not question them, knowing full well that she was last person in this Galaxy to judge their position, a rank most likely placed upon them without any choice or true consent. …So… instead she simply sat at the edge of her balcony. Staring off into the courtyard and gardens below, where several Unicorns had gathered in a quant array of fleet hood amongst one another. Veda had been taken aback by the sight of them last night… Having always thought the species had gone extinct over hundreds of years ago by hunters. Yet here, they seemed safe from the greed and lust of poachers who wished to see them dead for their magical qualities and skins. …Veda sighed softly. Her attire this midday consisting of a pretty, peach shaded gown that fell several yards behind her when she walked. Blonde hairs were down, tresses encircling around her shoulder blades and nape of the pale neck she possessed. Whilst a few rare, but small Caledonian pearls looped intricately through her curls… giving a simplistic look of a crown, though she wore none for her rank here. Soon she would be a Lady… Lady Warsworn to be exact. …And still, even after rest and reflection… she had not quite been able to swallow that idea just yet. Her slender frame leaning charismatically against the chair she sat upon, and her dazzling, hazel hues falling silently as she tried to calm her nerves for a time.::
14:19:14 CommanderCaedras turned to regard her, the lights from the augmented contact lenses dancing and shifting, making them appear a brighter shade of blue than they were. An eyebrow was quirked as he turned to face her, hands clasping behind his back, feet spread apart in a crisp navy stance. “I am here as a loyal son of the Federation. I have my duties and will see them followed through. What I am permitted to report to any interested dignitaries are that, as Wing Commander of the Five-Oh-Five Fleet, I have seen recent enough action to answer questions, but am on medical leave of absence for an undetermined period of recovery,” he responded coolly, though after a few seconds he shrugged and added, “Though, as this is hardly official, I'd rather be back up there and not down here answering questions about why I am down here and not up there. I was raised a pilot. I itch to spread my wings.” After a pause, he canted his head slightly. “Do you normally accost diplomats about their purpose, or is the barb specific to current
14:24:50 Maisha had arrived when the sun was down making it hard for her to locate the person she was looking for. After resting for the night she ventured back out onto the streets hoping to find her. There was no sign of weapons on her person and by the looks of her she didn’t seem capable of fighting. As she walked she took in everyone and everything around her not seeing the person she was looking for. The inquiry she had pressed had turned up nothing now she was on her own. Her research had brought her to another planet and the farther along she roamed the stronger the feeling got. Something was calling to her and she needed to find it as soon as possible. There were more energies here then she had anticipated but the one she was looking for was just as strong. Without thinking she ran past who she figured were guards the purple dress she wore giving just enough so that she could keep her distance. Ducking behind a couple of trees she hid waiting for it all to be clear before coming out into the open.
14:44:45 [Maidyn-Ashenstar] She seemed to snap too, or out of her particularly lurking behavior patterns. A blink, a smile. She realized that even tho he said he had seen action... he likely didn't know a darn thing about what had happened! After all, the Futuran ships in that conflict were no doubt still quarantined at their own borders by the combined Caledonian and Genlai fleets. If she had a tail, it would be wagging. Alas the woman doesn't. " It is a normal occurrence. Our Emperor teaches us to question, not for the sake of arguing, but because we must question to understand, and understand to be enlightened. "
14:59:38 CommanderCaedras smiled in turn, though the expression seemed clipped on the Futuran, despite the slightly cocky air it had. “Skeptical scrutiny can bear greater fruit, in time, providing deep thoughts and winnowing deep nonsense. Question your foes. Trust your fellow citizen. Such are the building blocks of the Federation.” He shrugged and held open his hands. “What information was given to me by command are for the ears of my fellow dignitaries, though, I can safely say that the Federations interest in the Genlai mining operations are a strategic maneuver for greater leverage in prolonged peace talk negotiations. Though I understand, it would be advantageous to open channels to our allies, would it not? I understand command has not bee forthcoming with their assistance of your people.” He gave her a curious glance before saluting briskly. Commander Hadrian Caedras, at your service.”
14:59:43 CommanderCaedras had a reputation, despite his face never really being seen. A decorated war hero, ace pilot, a key officer in many Federation sorties and with an impressive kill count to boot. Strange, then, that such a reputation among the Futurans and whomever would know of his exploits in the field to find the unassuming man, of average height, a sturdy but average build would be that larger than life pilot and Commander. “And you are, Miss?”
15:06:23 [Maidyn-Ashenstar] " God-Keeper Ashenstar. The Second Star on the Emperor's Crown. The Imperium of Akkad. " Oh how she stated that proudly, more pride than she should have had. But her name meant something very very clear. She was one of the few people closest to the God-Emperor that commanded the legions of the Imperium with un-wavering strength. " But if it pleases the Commander, You may call me Aidyn. " She made a quick bow that revealed absolutely nothing but respect. She was quickly losing the girlish vibe, her hyperactivity dieing down. She might even be able to hold a decent conversation. " How long is your stay here? Does your nation have an Embassy? How long are the meetings today? Where are your ships? "
15:16:20 [CommanderCaedras] “Undetermined. Yes. Varying lengths of time. In space,” he answered each one of them, one after the other with the same amused smile before he bowed in significant greeting, while still holding his salute. For his dry sarcasm, he was still respectful. “I am here on duty, not for pleasure, God-Keeper. It would be for yours that I would address you otherwise, and will do so if I must,” he informed her, possibly warming up to this conversation. “And long may your Emperor reign, if I may offer such a thing. Certainly full of questions, aren't you? The search for enlightenment seems all consuming, in such regards.” With that, he slowly began to move, not to leave her company, but to offer her the chance to walk with him if she wanted.
15:20:07 [Maidyn-Ashenstar] All-consuming. He certainly understood the Imperium. She could do nothing but smile. He didn't make a lot of sense. She suspected that he had a bit of the space rot. His mind may have been addled too much by the slip-space travel. She followed, regardless. padding along with her bare-feet. Inwardly the God-keeper scolds herself for not appearing intimidating enough.

15:31:20 CommanderCaedras walked casually along the balcony, arms clasped behind his back as he looked her way, frowning lightly. “Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly does a Second Star of the Imperial Crown do? Are you here to serve as the emperor's voice her, much like a diplomat, or is there some religious quality to it that escapes me?” he asked, genuinely curious, his booted feet echoing across the walkway. Motion caught his eye ahead, a flickering light like a flame. He quirked a brow and saw that such a glow belonged to a woman, not an unusual sight here in this palace for certain, but still unfamiliar to him. “If you are a fellow diplomat, however, I am most certain we could find time to speak of the alliance between our people, if that is of concern to you.”
15:38:28 [Maidyn-Ashenstar] She blinked at him incredulously for a moment, but offered a forgiving merciful smile to his apparent ultimate shame. " We are the keepers and caretakers of the God Emperor, Whatever his needs are we provide. He sends us to the places he himself cannot go. " She spoke matter of factly. For a moment, Maidyn paused, leaning to peer around him with wide eyes. Was that a burning flame? Curious. But not curious enough that she would leave her current target of interest.
15:47:12 CommanderCaedras huffed a light breath. “Seems self evident enough,” he muttered, nodding and shrugging. “And currently, you have been sent, I would understand? I would believe that were he here, you would be at his side, so...” Caedras glanced over his shoulder towards her again and then back to the palace grounds, evaluating the sizes of the tunnels and the like, the reticules in his ocular implants twisting and calibrating as he did so. “Have you ever flown a craft yourself, Maiden Maidyn?” he asked, not smirking when he called her that. It was difficult, but he managed.
15:50:19 [Zaira] The prisoners had wailed all night, but Zaira would have been more disturbed if they'd kept silent. Their screams helped maintain the menacing reputation of the Citadel, fueled stories mothers whispered to their children. Standing from her bed, she spotted a belt one of the guards had left behind, wedged beneath the dark, silk sheets. She couldn't remember when he had left, only the feel of his hands, and was thankful for his discretion. It was no secret that she used her guards for more than their fighting skills, but she wanted each and every one of them to stay in line, to never mistake sex for affection. She had no time for such emotions, and would just as quickly send one of them sprawling over a mountain. Dressing quickly, her red eyes blinked to adjust to the day, and she left her living quarters wearing a dark suit that fitted like a second skin. Once outside, she didn't waste any time, but took the sky, dark wings catching in the air. She reached the palace within moments.
15:53:18 [Maidyn-Ashenstar] " Only in Theory. " She quipped politely. Bouncing lightly on the soles of her feet. " Have you ever slept with a woman, Commander? You do not seem to have any in your life. " It was a very very odd question for someone to ask. But it seemed straightforwards enough, yet she didn't think he would respond. After all the Ambassador seemed like a prude. She reached up and ruffled the back of her short silver hair, looking over her shoulder at the wide-lawns again. A sigh. " Are you looking for a way out, Commander? "
15:59:59 [Maidyn-Ashenstar] Beraug: There was an equally as frightening creature waiting for her when she touched down in the palace courtyard. Beraug, the great wolf of Akkad. He was dressed in armor and carrying a light weapon. Although he wasn't particularly ready to fight anything. he wasn't allowed inside the palace with it, but the old man didn't want to wander the city unprotected. It was coincidence that he ended up at the palace. Large gaudy thing it was. Filled with people that wanted to fight! And not think! The wolf man placed his short energy-sword tip down in the dirt and grunted as her wings whipped up dust and dirt. " Hallo. " He grunted towards Zaira, for no particular reason. Something told her he wouldn't be even slightly offended if she chose not to respond.
16:01:08 CommanderCaedras barked a sharp laugh before his smile was quickly slipped back under the neutral mask. “I could not say 'in theory' to that, I'm afraid. I have aided in producing a number of children for the Federation, as per the Enlistment Protocol Acts and Regulations. But of course, seeing as how we know each other so well and for so long, I can understand your concern with my more recent lack of sexual encounters or partners, God-Keeper. I would say I am touched, but that has recently not been the case, as you have rooted out so subtly.” he explained coolly, as though all of this were another matter of note. “Romance is not the way of the Federation. Progress is what matters. The only way out of service is death or decommission. My duty remains clear and I am a loyal soldier, Godkeeper. Why would I want to escape my duty?” he asked, more curious than offended.
16:05:24 [Maidyn-Ashenstar] " You are a very stupid man. Have you been told that too? " Maidyn stopped dead in her tracks and crossed her arms disapprovingly. " I am not interested in Futuran round-abouts and long winded speeches filled with two credit ( dollar ) words that you wouldn't use when talking to your mother. You do realize, I don't care about your sex life? But more that you appear disheveled and over compensating? Your pins are crooked, your boots aren't shined. And lets be honest, you're not making a great first impression. You are looking for a way to escape. You are, and if you say you aren't I will call you a liar until you cannot hear anything else. " She hissed those last words out in a bitter string of heated emotion. She detested round-about futuran idiots. " You should be in the meetings with the Ambassadors. You should be attending to your duties. A real soldier would not be on a deserted balcony taking a - breather -. You did not know the answer to my simplest of questions when I first asked them. Perhaps instead of looking at scenery you should spend your down time researching your post that you are so ill informed about. </i> " Her voice rose to a feverish pitch as she shamelessly scolded him. The pits of her dark eyes glowed a strong blue that was indicative of Akkadian rage. " Oh why am I here. You are a useless dried up fount of misinformation. I would do better putting on councilor's robes and questioning the Sheraa birds in the animal sanctuary! " She tossed a hand at him dismissively and turned heel to walk the other direction, back towards the stairs and her loveliest of views of the green lawn. If he wanted to continue speaking, he'd have to up his game and follow her.
16:19:28 CommanderCaedras was taken aback by the rather sudden outburst, for only a moment, eyebrows quirked as she ranted and raved in his direction. The only thing that gave him alarm, however, was when she began to glow. Beyond that, it seemed that his manner had thrown her for a loop, enough that she had begun to walk in the opposite direction. He made an about face on his heels and carried on after her as though none the wiser to her indicative rage. “I suppose I have. Just now, if you don't remember. Perhaps the corsetry is cutting circulation to your head. You may need to see a medica about that. If I were a soldier, then I would be fighting. As an Ambassador, I am to be as vexatious, cantankerous, and imbecilic as the rest of the politicians playing war that I have come across. There is hope for you, yet, however, seeing through my cunning ruse of false intellect.” There was a beat there, before a shred of honesty crept into his words, leaving them slightly heated when he spoke them.
16:19:32 [CommanderCaedras] “Were I a real soldier, I would not be in this uniform. I would be out there. Flying. Leading. Where I belong. Not here. Among strangers. Making apologies for corporations and politicians who could not care two wits what any of you think.” He continued to follow along, head held up in his usual parade march as he followed. “If you desire honest answers, ask your questions. They will be done. If such answers are not classified matters of the Federation.”
16:40:36 Praetia was all to used to this scene....a planet, the colorful swirls and topography filling her view from the command deck of the Litany of Purity. Around her, the floating wreckage of a defense force fleet and orbital defense platforms; intermingled with the wreckage of civilian ships attempting to flee. Around the planet, her fleet rolled like great sharks around a dying whale; black against the star-filled expanses of the galaxy. Commander Caedras and Maidyn's conversation would shortly be interupted, as communication devices across the Akkadian Empire flickered, their screens changing to the most feared symbology of Akkadian space: A black background emblazoned with a stylized red I. The Imperial Inquisition interrupts this broadcast... Yeah. That could only mean a dark message was being sent across the Empire. The screen shifted to display the planet Praetia now circled: Satania. Though her face was kept in shadow, the Female Inquisitor's voice rang clearly through the broadcast. "Greetings, citizens of the Empire. As you no doubt have been made aware, I serve the God Emperor, by way of his most Holy Inquisition. These messages from my order are rare, and for good reason....but in recent times, it has been made clear that a message must be sent. For those who are loyal, dutiful servants of the God Emperor, there is nothing to fear. For those who skulk in the darkness, shunning our glorious Emperor's light, however....We will find you, and you will suffer a fate most appropriate for the heretical. Observe: The planet of Satania. Investigations have revealed this planet to be traitor to our Emperor; to our people. By betraying the Emperor, they have betrayed all Akkadians." Footage began shifting through short clips: the people of Satania burning effigies of the Emperor, rioting in the streets, raiding of governmental buildings and wanton murder. "They have turned their back upon us, upon the Emperor, and so the Inquisition shall bring them to heel." Same old song and dance...Praetia did not enjoy the theatrics, but with such instances becoming more widespread, she had deemed them a necessity in order to quell the less couragous of rebellions; allow her to attempt to focus on what the root cause of such uprisings might be. Fear, after all, was an excellent mental leash. The view shifted back to the planet, just in time for the second salvo of missiles from the Exterminatus fleet to impact; bathing the entire wirld in fire, scorching the surface and atmosphere clean as the third salvo followed; digging into the planet's surface and burrowing to the core, where the detonations reverberated througout the entirety of Satania. Great cracks formed, the planet literally splitting apart in silence; tumbling into the void like the debris of the ships who had attempted to stop the Inquisition. "Ave Imperator. I bring these souls salvation through annihilation. Let this warning reverberate to those who harbor ill intent towards the Akkadian Empire: We will find you....and the Emperor's will shall be done." And just like that, the broadcast cut back to whatever the devices had been displaying previously; as though it hadn't happened at all....but of course, it had. It was most certainly all too real.
16:42:12 [Maidyn-Ashenstar] The rage caught in Maidyn's throat and choked out her words for a few minutes. She seethed, like a snake coiling and writhing in its nest, poising to strike. Ready to unleash a wild amount of fury that would rival any amount of pure venom. But... She didn't. Instead of striking him across the face for his words, she cupped her hands beneath his chin. ( If he didn't move. ) She hummed softly and smoothed the hair from his face. " Oh hush. I forgive you for your sins. Why are you so wild inside? What is the matter with your mind? Who are you really? " Her eyes glowed brighter until they reflected off of his own. " Come now. Show me. " Her gestures were not sexual in nature. No, she was behaving much like she did when her dearest Lord-God was irritated. Caedras was starting to show her little bits of who he really was. " Perhaps this is you. A man who is more comfortable with a gun in his hand to prove his worth than having to rely on his own words. A man that would rather fight for redemption for the terrible things his people have done. Who sees little point in talking. But come. Come. No... Don't turn away. " She tried to cup his cheeks again if he had attempted to turn from the sirenic calling of whatever spell the God-keeper was weaving. It was only after she had finally settled into her craft that all of it was interrupted, and blaringly so. From the badge on her chest a beam of light burst, showing a small hologram that showed the message Praetia was sending. Albeit the sound was soft for Caedras it was heavy in Maidyn's ears. She clasped her hands at her breast and swooned a little bit as she watched the destruction take place. " Oh Emperor. " She mumbles, allowing her badge to replay over and over the destruction until she had her thoughts interrupted. Caedras was forgotten for now.
16:45:34 [Zaira] Zaira directed her gaze toward the wolf-man, red eyes gleaming in the harsh sunlight. She tucked her wings away, and stared over at him. “You're aren't who I'm looking for,” the words were a blank dismissal. She continued forward to the palace gates, hips swaying as she walked. Black hair flowed down her back, silky tendrils reaching her waist. If it weren't for the deadly gleam in her eyes, she would have appeared like a normal, innocent woman.
17:02:07 [CommanderCaedras] “A grounded bird is a graceless, squawking thing. Put it in the sky, and they change entirely. Truth be told, I don't understand the order. It frustrates me and I have little other desire than to be back out there. I've no sins to redeem. I've followed all my orders gladly. As a Loyalist, the Navy has ever been my family. It is my purpose. But diplomacy?” he explained, the strange soothing sensation catching him by surprise. He started slightly when she reached out and touched him, an eyebrow still quirked but he did not move completely away. The interruption, however, spared him any ability to answer. He was stunned for a few long moments but whatever soothing effects she had brought on him seemed to be replaced with nothing but a degree of muted horror. “It seems my sins, as it were, are the least of your troubles. Seems you'll be speaking for the Emperor in this matter, no doubt. I have a feeling you'll be busy.” His eyes lingered on the footage that kept rolling before shaking his head, saluting and leaving her to her troubles, unless his speaking interrupted her thoughts.
17:04:46 [Maidyn-Ashenstar] " Silly Futuran. " She chuckled as he walked away. " This is not a matter to talk about. What is done, is done. By the Emperor's Will. This day and the next, so it shall always be. " She'd disappear down the stairs. As soon as she'd had her fill of the gracious explosions.
17:12:26 Ursulla ~*~ was lost. Was indeed lost beyond all reason. This palace was so huge, she feared it was as big as the forest that surrounded her kingdom. She was nothing but a lost princess of another planet stuck on a new one due to the large amount of slavery. Her hair was flaming behind her as she ran. Almost looney toons style. In one room and out the other, and getting lost int he process. Finally she finds a maid's exit tot he courtyyard and is around the unicorns now. and she freaks out, becuse they shocked her. Startled her as they were considered sacred beasts on her world. "Oh my..." and thus her attention was now absorbed with the unicorns in the garden of multicolored roses and sweet berries.<E>
17:24:38 [Zaira] “Pretty, aren't they?” Zaira asked, appearing out of a shadowed portion of the garden. Her question held no warmth, red eyes glancing from the unicorns to the girl. She moved forward, studying Ursulla's face. “I don't recognize you. Are you the Emperor's?” She didn't clarify the question, it could have meant a slew of things, but she liked knowing what was happening in the palace, knowing the people who frequented it. It made her job a whole lot easier. The more people she knew about, the easier it would be to find them when the time came.
17:30:29 Maisha stood up when the guards finally left the area giving her a chance to look around. Shaking her head a little upset that this area was so big. Huffing she stepped out hearing someone running about as if they were being chased. There it was again. Following the energy she came across two people the energy she was following was there. Moving around the unicorns she eyed the two making sure the one she was looking for was there.
17:32:44 Ursulla ~*~ Of course as the sun was setting, her skintone was a alot harder to see. If it wasn't for her gleaming hair and glowing eyes, she would be hard to see at all. She reaches out to touch one of the sacred beasts, very apprcitave taht she had her purity intact and the slavers didn't take that from her, although it was only a matter of time before they tried to do so. She heard the movement before the words were released from the confines of the other females' lips. "More magnificent than pretty. That word is a low end way of saying you admire something and not commeting to it." she speaks softly. There was a harsh tone in her reply to the woman looking over her. She remembered what the other woman said about her and her style of dress. Then this female inquired about who she belonged to. This was slightly humilating after she was rescued from that very fate, whether or not the slavegirls here were better off than what she would have been. "I belong to no one..." She snaps. clearly she was offended and this statement triggered something that she refused to acknowledge at the moment. "HE rescued me...I highly doubt I belong to him...." Now the doubt has been planted and once this seed starts to grow...it becomes a noxious weed.
17:57:56 [Zaira] Zaira smirked, the expression eerily beautiful on her pale face. She liked the fire in Ursulla's eyes, the anger just waiting to boil over.“You belong to no one?” she asked, edging closer. “How sad for someone like you.” She knew how it was to be a woman in these times, and Ursulla would never survive on her own. She was weak, helpless, and everything Zaira never wanted to be. She paused, before voicing her next question. “How do you fare in the cold?”
18:14:19 [Beraug] The wolf returned to his Embassy. And was once more in silent contemplation with his pup. The two sat back to back this time, their snouts pointed towards the stars. Meditationw as one of their nightly rituals. and this time the two had something to celebrate. The Emperor had once more glassed a planet until it burst from the insides. Conquest was always calming, it seemed, to the akkadians. No matter your age or position. It left the most stalwart of Akkadians silent for days, witnessing it in person. The effects on those only receiving transmissions were thankfully much less. Perhaps this was a sign that the Wolf could return to the homeworld sooner than planned.
18:21:15 CommanderCaedras had finally ditched the Ambassador's uniform as other dignitaries were being called upon for the moment. There was a few hours in between the next engagement and seminar before then and he took the time to make his way tot he landing bay where his personal craft was docked. A Federation jumpsuit was slipped on, and he ran diagnostics of the vessel, relaying all the information to his HUD ocular implants and his earpiece. Music gently wafted in the background as he worked, familiar and at ease around the Falcon-Class air superiority fighter. He jumped into it heartily, arms already mucked with grease and fluids, a smile on his face as he currently worked under one of the wings, back on a hoverplank and security goggles slapped on.
18:23:22 Maisha shook her head at the two women looking towards Ursulla with intent. Setting her hand on a unicorn she slowly walked towards the two women not saying a word. Her hand rested on the hindquarter of the unicorn as she looked from Zaira to Ursulla. The energy was strong she just needed to make sure it was correct. ”Slavery such a thing to talk about. It is a horrid thing when one is forced into such a despicable situation against ones will.” Her eyes glowed quickly before returning to normal a sly grin present.
18:35:37 Ursulla ~*~ Those gleaming aquamarine eyes glare at that woman. She had the gall to come into the royal palace's gardens and start to asses people?! Who does these types of things?! She growls. and decides that this must just be how people act here. "Sad? Nay, what was sad was being forced to urinate down your leg or into cloth strapped to your vital parts, being fed from from hollowed out wooden straws taht bugs built hives in...because the slavers are afraid you will bite their fingers off...and your purity is worth more to them than that!" She was clearly upset that her form started show her flaming phoenix wings. Her body's aura was glowing bright orange. She was about to lose it all until Maisha came into view. She remembers the last time this girl was seen she was a scrawny sickly thing. "Mia....is that you?"
18:43:48 Orianna ::Pulling the hood over her head as her delecate fingertips pull the lever down to slow out of her starspeed. The orbs of energy start to lower its glow and gleam as it was exiting and she was faced witht he gorgeous view of the captial planet of the Dragonstar galaxy. Speaking into the com some foriegn language, there was a confirmation in the said language then she switches channels. "Omega 24-27 entering from the Heliodyr Galaxy, requesting permission to land upon summons from the Empire. Thank you." She lowers into the atmosphere. Her ship lands and the landing gear bounces as it secures itself and she was already down the circular lift that drops slowly and rises back up with a mental thought. She pulls her hood of her trench cloak over her head and proceeds towards the wiating room for foriegners to be approved and cleared to enter the capital.
18:53:07 CommanderCaedras slid out from under the wing, finishing with the power coupling when the other vessel glided in smoothly to dock. His legs hung off from the edge of the board, feet dangling in the air as he slipped the goggles up onto his forehead. When Orianna finally stepped out, he nodded her way as she passed. “Fine vessel you have there. She use Dyrthian drive crystals or a triskellian core? Too seemless to be anything else while she lands,” he said in a friendly manner, his tone conveying his familiarity with ships.
18:57:16 Maisha shook her head as the conversation between the two became a bit heated. Sighing she pulled her hand from the unicorn to fold her arms over her chest still looking at the two. Once she was addressed she nodded looking directly at Ursulla. "Yes it is. I havent been called that in ages." She smiled at her looking her over as her smile faded and she sighed. "I never thought i would find you alive let alone on another planet."

19:09:52 Orianna :: Before she starts to walk past the other ship, she was spoken too. The language was common tongue, so it wasn't too hard to speak, just the syllables are heavily accented. "She gets me from point a to point b. " She stops and adjusts her hood, clicking her heels on the steel plating floor. "Neither, Thulite energy orbs. Have you heard of them?" She now was waving to her sponser, indicating she was going to wait out here in the hanger until she was cleared to enter the planet. "You seem to know ships...." she grins. Always always flirt with disaster in her culture. <E>
19:15:35 [CommanderCaedras] “Thulite...” he mused, scratching his chin with the spanner in his hand. “I think the Ciridian corporation is developing something experimental based on that stuff. I can understand why. The grav fields on that must be incredibly well contained. Heard about them, never witnessed.” He slipped off the board and got to his feet before patting the ship beside him in an affectionate manner. “You could say that. They're my duty, after all. Been around them and flying them my whole life. You seem rather comfortable around them yourself. Hadrian, at your service,” he offered, wiping down his hands before holding one out for her. He was an unassuming man, of average height and build, his eyes shifting with light from the implants that offered technical analysis and HUD readouts perpetually.
19:26:40 Ursulla ~*~ Before anything could be said or done, Urd jumped into Mia's arms and starts to sob. She couldn't control it much anymore and she just realished the feel of another she actually knew and loved's embrace. "You ...changed..." She sighs and leans her fluffy flame haired head on her shoulder and whispers back. "I was shuttled from many different planets....it was the leader here who saved me."
19:40:58 Orianna :: Crossing her feet and placing all the weight upon one as the other was lax over the top of her other foot. She flips her head to the side and glad that her ears were laid back under the hood. "They are, and the ride is so smooth, no jerking from enterance or exit from starspace. " She nears the man now, and watches him as he taps his ship and explains some things. she grins. Her fangs glinting in the artificial light. "Hadrian, that sounds....Futurian. " she spoke softly. She takes his hand, her fingers cloaked in a velvet glove. " I usually do not give out my formal name and title, so how about a nickname? Call me Usagi." She grins that if the man heard of the language it was from, when she reveals her form he will laugh.
19:48:47 Maisha ‘s eyes widened when she jumped into her arms but she gladly hugged her gently patting her back. ”It is nice to see you too.” She laughed patting her back again. ”I became a paladin no longer that little scared girl. I’m a warrior now.” She shook her head looking around her eyes narrowed slightly. ”The leader saved you? Interesting I thought leaders of large places like this were only interested in keeping things only they want. Hm.” Her oblivious nature showing through at that.
19:53:04 [CommanderCaedras] “That would be correct, Usagi. Federation, born and bred,” he responded, shaking her hand lightly. His posture betrayed his military background rather loudly as he stood before her. He chuckled and smirked at the nickname a bit, though, catching onto the meaning with a wink. “Now, I understand how technically wonderful that is, but I'm afraid I've gotten used to those long slipstreams and the rocking of the craft. Like a cradle, now. Be too strange if everything was perfect, besides. Would keep waiting from something in the back to blow the entire time. Must be quiet as a wraith, too.” He let go of her hand and moved to the side to produce his bottle of water, taking a sip before offering her some. “Here on business?”
19:59:27 Ursulla ~*~ Yes this phrase was something that she heard before. "Indeed....but perhaps...that is up for interpitation...." She was now starting to worry. Was she was really just a prize....She sighs. "I am so proud of you! How is father?" She was now worried that her situation at home was not the same as it used to be
20:04:45 Orianna :: Kicks her other foot out and now crosses her arms. Her mannerisims sshown she was anxious about something, but what was it? Who could know? She grins and nods. She saw the wink and giggles, a bit too girly for her liking. "If a ship rocks back and forth like said cradle, it should be put out of its misery at my worlds. She takes her hand back from her crossed arms after she took it from the greeting. "You could say that. Aren't we all here on business? But the matter of the hand is, what importance is that business?" She chuckles and takes the water, sipping it showing trust, not even wiping the top off. Her other hand takes off the hood and her rabbit ears spring to life, and her slightly puckered up nose wiggles. "I am a Bwanoi from the Heliodyr Galaxy, homeplanet of Cilmere."
20:05:14 Maisha shrugged pulling her arm away from her folding them over her chest. ”I suppose it is.” She shook her head looking for a place to sit looking back at her with a sigh. ”I haven’t spoken to him since I started looking for you. He didn’t want me to be a paladin so I angered him.” She turned away remembering the last time the two had talked and how angry it had been.
20:13:01 CommanderCaedras watched her ears perk up and slowly quirked an eyebrow for a moment, though he took it in stride otherwise. “Huh,” was his pithy response to the reveal. “Usagi,” he muttered, smirking a bit. Gently, he took the bottle back and patted his ship once more. “Well, the rocking's from the slipstream. Or when I'm being shot at. Can't fault a vessel for that, in that case, but I suppose you can shoot it down for being shot at, couldn't you?” The Futuran peered over at one of the open panels and slid it closed, pushing down on it with a bit of raw force to get it locked in. “Business is business. Far be it for me to pry, Usagi. We're all here for a reason or duty, that much is clear. I'm a Loyalist, raised fleetside, so not much for homeplanets. Though, if my astrogation lessons serve, you're quite a ways from home.” He looked around the hangar and chuckled. “Then again, who isn't, here.”
20:13:28 Ursulla ~*~ Removes herself and brushes her dress straight and regains her composure. She indicates a gazebo towards the south of the unicorns. She starts to make her way towards it whens he heard of what happened. "You know he doesn't belive in holy magics. Even though you are half angel." She takes a seat and leans her back on the cool stone.

20:27:35 Orianna :: The rabbit ears twitched a few, they stood about a foot tall from where a human's ears should be. Some larger some smaller. Hers were pure white, which if anyone knew, indicated royalty. Noblity were grey, and black was very rare. Any other colors usually were not high ranking. Even if you were born with the blood of a king and your fur was not of that color, you were considered lower than your other kin. "Well some of us needs homeplanets, despite wanting one or not. " She grins widely revealing her fangs now. "Yes indeed I am far from home, but events dictate that I be here, so thus here I am. What about you? I understand that business can be privy to the right audiences, and perhaps I am not that lucky. " she chuckles. Her long silver hair was twisted in twin tails with loops at the end, each one had a colored crystal charm. The dark skin contrasts with her vivid pupiless eyes. "You have quite the point there, space cowboy."
20:29:44 Maisha looked over at her watching her regain herself making her smirk. They both had seemed to have changed over time. For the best hopefully. Following her to the gazebo she sighed dropping down onto the railing of it. ”I know and to others I’m an abomination though everyone I’m related to are strong and willing to help.” She huffed kicking at the support of the gazebo resting her back against it.
20:34:25 [CommanderCaedras] “Cowboy?” he drawled, drawing out the word like those other Terrans in certain desert planet vids. He reached up and tipped an invisible hat at her before wiping some of the grease from his face with the rag in his pocket. Her eyes, her fangs, the ears, all of it seemed to make her stand out all the more. He wasn't quite sure what to think of it save that it made an impression, surely. “For the moment? Business is pleasure,” Hadrian responded with a smile, hooking a thumb over his shoulder to the fighter craft. “But, soon enough, I'll need to make my way back to the palace. I'm here in an Ambassadorial capacity on behalf of the Futuran Federation Fleet Command. So I suppose, in that regard, you are that lucky to be privy to that information. Hardly a state secret.”
20:37:39 Ursulla ~*~ Sits properly and sighs. She closes her eyes and bends over with her hand son her temples nd rubs them. "The area is in chaos....seems like war is breweing everywhere. Which side will you fight on?" She couldnt think of anything elese to say or ask. She honestly was in complete and utter confusion. <E>
20:44:32 Orianna :: She grins with giddy school girl grin. He was amusing to say the least, and there was very few things that could keep her amused. As he does the little invisable cosplay, she starts to chuckle and followed by a soft but girly snort to her laugh as eh clears her throat and recomposes herself. "I see that." She winks back at him. As he explained his 'secret' to her she then wipes her forehead as if she was releived. "Oh well here I thought I was talking to a normal greasehand. I am here on the same duties from my own galaxy. " It was now clear she was a person of some importance now.
20:46:20 Maisha sighed jumping down from the railing making her way over to her. ”Calm down and relax. Try not to think about war right now. When the time comes I will pick my side. For now let’s just to catch up. You went through some rough thing it’s time to work past them.” she touched her arm unsure of what she had gone through.
20:50:01 CommanderCaedras quirked an eyebrow, amused by her behaviour and the sudden change to something more professional. “My. Couldn't imagine what the scandal was if you were talking to a normal greasehand. Instead, you're talking to an unofficial one. How clandestine,” he said with a smirk. There was a subtle shift to his tone, though, conveying a bit more respect and respectability in kind. He squinted, though, and looked at her forehead before pointing. “Oh, you missed a spot there,” he told her, before tossing up the dirty rag up towards her head, aiming on missing her only to give her a light prank instead; that rag wouldn't clean a darn thing, considering how filthy It looked. He'd move over to pick it up, holding a hand up to show it was just in good fun (or poor taste depending on her reaction). “Well, if you're here to pretend to be a greasehand, suit on up and join me. I could use some help,” he said with a smile.
21:02:13 Orianna :: An idea just ran through her head. The ears twitch and the rag goes flying, and out of habit, she backflips and lands in a crouched position. As he teases her she grins and rises, he nears her and picks up the rag and she chuckles. Brushing the dust off her form. She flips her hair over her shoulder. "I am waiting on the clearence check, so why not?" She reaches for a suit and strips off her trench cloak, folding it nice and neatly. She turns ther backt o him. And he could see her large fluffy tail. "Perhaps a good word from another ambassador could help me clear my name faster?" <E>
21:08:46 CommanderCaedras watched the acrobatic display with more than a little surprise, impressed by her agility but more so by her otherwise calm reaction. “You are perhaps the first being I've met with a sense of humour here,” he told her with a smile as he moved towards the hoverboard to plant himself on and slide along under the ship to access some of the paneling. “That all depends on whether or not you know an Ambassador with a good name that could help, Usagi. Sure there's bound to be one on the planet somewhere,” he quipped, trying not to think about the woman with the bunny ears, nose and tail and how she could probably give him more than a few bruises if he made mention of said adorable fluffy tail. “I could see if anything can be done. In truth, didn't expect you to agree to lending a hand. Much obliged. Diffuser?” His hand snuck out from under the ship, open wide.
21:18:51 Orianna :: She was so easily able to switch from one mask to antoher but this Greasy space cowboy knew how to handle her and make it comfrotable enough to show herself. She grabs a Sonic Screwdriver and shakes her head at the offer for the diffuser. "No thanks, I prefer something with a bit of boom to it ." she grins and chuckles.
21:25:12 [CommanderCaedras] “Duly noted for future reference but I'd rather not have my nav drive go boom. Can you pass me the diffuser please?” he asked with a laugh this time, shaking his head though she couldn't quite see it. It went on as such, for a short time, him asking for tools, and getting her to float near the coolant dispenser to help tighten a few things while he redirecting some of the wiring and tubing. That was messier in and of itself, but they managed a good job quickly, however messily. He finally stood alongside her, arms crossed over his chest. “She'll dance nicely, when I take her up again. I appreciate the help, Usagi. Hope to cross paths with you at the palace. I might even have taken a bath by then.” He offered her his filthy hand and a smile.
21:30:33 Orianna :: followed his lead, it was his ship, he was in charge. As she fixed the the loose bolts and tubing. Seh managed to find a big issue with one of the crystals to fix it before it happened to be a bigger problem. She scoots out and grins with him. "She should fly smoother, and maybe an extra jerk to her step. " She takes his hand and shakes it one mroe time. "Indeed, once I am cleared, off to the lord emperor himself. Got some important classified information for him ." She smirks and peels oft he suit and starts to clean up.
21:35:47 CommanderCaedras smiled and held his hands up. “An Ambassador, not a spy. Your business with the emperor is your own. But best of luck with that.” Quickly, he moved to a cleaning station to clear up his hands and then picked up her neatly folded coat to pass over. “Good eyes, by the way. Missed that crystal. I know she appreciates the help.” He gave the vessel another gentle pat before looking Orianna's way. There was a distracted look in his eyes for a moment as she was changing, but it actually had to do with the messages he was sending and receiving on the HUD implants in his eyes. “Should be one of my retinue to help facilitate the process, if possible, at the welcome center. Might shave some time off.”

21:40:46 Orianna :: Takes the coat with a kind smile. She flips it up and over her arms, letting it fall down and naturally over her curves. "Orbs, crystals and Runes are a very big thing in my culture. We always double check them in case. Whether they be newly installed or hundreds of years old." She splashes water up on her face and over her ears, makign them glisten like a new mornings dew again. "Ill check into that. I was hoping it was a quick process but by the looks of it, I fear a stay overnight is going to be on the agenda. Oh well. Got some time to work on one of my other hobbies." She blushes at the thought of revealing that to him. But oh well, she was eager to finish this piece of work.
21:47:24 [CommanderCaedras] “Bureaucracy, I've come to learn is much like the universe; it is not evil nor is it benign, it is simply indifferent to our plights,” he responded with a helpless shrug and a smile. He gave her a salute, a crisp Federation one before standing at a parade rest. “Well then. Should you find yourself lacking in company, Usagi, feel free to send a communication for Commander Caedras. I am certain he will make time for your company, if your hobby does not keep you too distracted.” He gave her a polite smile that was warmer than professionalism should have allowed, but he was taking solace in that and not in the chill at the bottom of his stomach; the crystal had been newly installed, but clearly broken. Someone had sabotaged them. “And an excellent point on the crystals. I should be much more thorough these days.” Hadrian passed her a towel for her hair and ears.
22:05:38 Orianna : Gladly takes the complement, or is that how you should take a salute that was so perfect? She bites her bottom lip and licks it before she felt her cheeks flush with color as he spoke about her hoby. "Ill remember that." She catches the towel and starts to dry off. Watching the look on his face change every so slightly ti indicate some form of distress. "You okay Commander?" She leans against the wall and pulls up her communicater and looks at and looks up to the desk and saw she was getting a wave to come in there. "I am cleared for entry. See ya around, and by the way. Names Orianna Cyrusyn. Imperatrix of the Bwanoi." She winks at him and makes her way towards the office to get hr passport and ID's. She was clear to go and ready to see the captial.
