Will Talton has been warned and is currently banned from chat participation.
He's also been known as Johny Winter and Shadow Sabre.
He is free to make an appeal at any time, in an attempt at convincing the staff to lift his ban.

Will Talton has been warned and is currently banned from chat participation. He's also been known as Johny Winter and Shadow Sabre. He is free to make an appeal at any time, in an attempt at convincing the staff to lift his ban. Earlier this morning, August 7th 2015, I gave an explicit warning to Will on his character Johny in the OOC room after he made explicit comments about rape in real life. When questioned, he said he was not serious about rape, but continued to explain that "it was because she was drunk and thought I was her boyfriend," and until I deigned to warn him, he would have continued without apologizing to those who it may have offended. This insensitivity and generally disturbing behavior led me to warn him. Coupled with the general consensus that his behavior is obnoxious and undesirable in the roleplaying rooms, I was prepared to make a ban without warning, but chose to warn as it would have been unfair without warning in my own judgment. Please note that the decision to only proceed with a strong warning was reached by me alone after having discussed an actual ban with Nox Falon and Winter-Wolf. I then made the statement, that "Now that he has been warned, the next offense that anyone in authority deems is bannable will remove him from this chat group." The wording of my warning was, that because of his behavior, he must make effort to change it, or face a ban. Will was compliant, agreeing that he will "try" to correct his behavior, and after having confirmed with him that this is the action that will be taken, he finalized his agreement, and conversation went on as normal. I left for grocery shopping because that's what I do, and while I was gone, Lady Mairis Veridias made the choice, with consensus from other staff and members, to ban him on her authority. |

It was with my authority as a Moderator, and with the consensus of Winter-Wolf and others, that I banned Will Talton from the room. Though he had agreed to "Change his ways" he proceeded to make a comment about porn. I and the others, viewed this as a breach of his agreement with Lorelyn, and acted accordingly. Will may make an appeal if he so wishes before tomorrow, or he can remain banned till tomorrow, where he may return to the chat, hopefully realizing his errors and not repeating them in the future. |
